I messed up the other poll, but anyways I was just wondering how many people on here run, etc.

P.S. There's a poll option (when making them) where you can see everyone who's voted and what they voted for. Isn't that creepy?

i am a human being. i run every day from 30 minutes to an hour but i don't run for the team here at college.

i plan to run more in the summer. although i don't train for a season, im usually prepared to do a 5k every now and then.

I may be having technical difficulties, but it's telling me that 6 people voted but only 5 checked "human being." So, who is the odd, um, thing out?

Check: I used to run, but have no motivation to do it now, even though the warmer weather is convincing me to try again.

I started logging on to DyeStat back in the very old days, before it had bulletin boards, when I had two sons who were both very good high school distance runners (one was a state distance champion); both went on to run for D-1 colleges.

As for myself, I'm a slow-but-determined hobby runner. I've run plenty of 5Ks, 8Ks, 10Ks, 10 milers, 20Ks, and also six marathons, including the Paris Marathon and the Marine Corps Marathon (where I met jaygray in person). I plodded through the marathons, but finished 'em all. Am currently trying to get back in shape.

I logged onto Dyestat originally to see a race result at the NY Armory. I was told about this site from a MN Female track champion who runs for Stanford now.

I try to run 6 days a week, and I coach a decently successful Cross Country/Track program in small school MN. It all depends on injuries if I'm racing or not. I ran and finished my first marathon this last year.

Now, I see Dyestat as a wonderful scouting tool for my team. KenA55 does a great job posting results for us.

I hear there's a cheetah that's been posting on here?

I didn't realize that it told you how many people voted ... I shouldn't have put that on there in the first place.

Oh, well ... learning from my mistakes.

Shannon Bergstedt and Hopkins?

I was tipped off to Dyestatcal by my teammates during the '02 cross-country season-being the track nerds they are-and finally registered during mid-November.

As for running, I've been battling ITBS for three years, jumping in a 5k when I feel well enough, or for a good cause. Hoping to start base building this summer for 5k-15k races come fall. Spend most of my track time now behind a staging computer or helping run meets.
