Anyone know if there's a 5K race held at Van Cortlandt Park sometime in the Fall prior to the Footlocker Regional Race? Maybe even a similar course?

The New York Road Runners Club hosts three 5k XC races at VCP in October and some in November. I think they are all on sundays. Go to the calendar at www.NYRR.org.

Manhattan College Invite? If I can remember correctly they have age group races, frosh, soph, jv, and varsity 4ks atleast

Manhattan is contested over the 2.5 mile course for varsity, jv, etc. and over the "frosh course" (listed as 1.5 miles) for the freshman and junior high runners.

Runalong is on the money - the NYRRC will hold several XC races over the 5k course during XC season. In addition, there is often a fairly low key 5k meet (typically hosted by a PSAL team) during the season.

The NYRR club races look perfect. Do you know if you have to be a NYRR club member to run in those races?
