Girls TJ 36' board-w/6th place @ 37'6, the 32' board could handle all jumpers-easier for officials, safer too.
LJ/TJ-No concern anywhere about not having a level pit? Sand, for the most part, was terrible in all meets.
Open LJ/TJ-flights better as open pit time limits were abuse. Also, kids cut in line when no other events were going on! Did not wait their turn which was sometimes as much as 14 minutes apart! Best kids should be in 3rd Fl., w/ 1 warm-up period and then flight specific warm-up. Any thoughts of getting rid of run backs? How about checking in on time?
Relay additions-Where is the 4x200? Just an arbitrary decision not to include it? My sources in Ohio want to get rid of the relays as they become non-competitive. Will the same kids who run the qualifying time have to run in the MOC? Where to put them in the order---look at p.11, rule 1-2-1b, 2009 rule book. Where will the small schools be sitting?
MOC Throws and Jumps-Where was the steel tape to measure records? Vena?
Qualfying marks for the Sectionals? Never! Entry fees are too important to the meets.
As an official, I can say that some officials never moved from their seats!
HJ coaching box-adding one to the side would be great!
HJ/PV-Instead of B&G pits, how about a high and low pit? Using the PV as the example, one starts @7',the other @10, especially at Sectional level.
Different concern-how about some dual meets on Monday and Wednesday to get more and better officials at them.
No pentathlon this year because we had no track until this morning. The mondo surface is beautiful w/ multi color lanes, 2 of everything in the field. Look for a multi event series next year at Ridge.
Comments are appreciated! Rich T

32 board should be the ONLY board at the MOC, only one athlete wanted the 36 and she graduated, same thing happened 2 years ago

we should have flights in all championship meets not just MOC, i always ran flights when I was a 20 year old rookie official, it can be done

I am not in favor of adding any relays, it creates an unbalanced advantage for sprint heavy teams, and if nothing else it makes it more difficult for our athletes to be exposed to NCAA recruiting.

If an official is sitting down, they are not doing their job, there is always something to do!

Ban runbacks yes!;) They are time wasting accidents waiting to happen. Buy a tape measure, they are quite inexpensive

add HJ coaching boxes to the side, yes!

hi and lo pits for HJ/PV yes!!

I didn't see your communication to Don Danser in the minutes. Did he forget to include them?;)

Ok just getting this one off my chest. I've always hated open pits, I think they have limited usefulness and at best are rather unprofessional. However, I can tolerate them as need be. What I cannot tolerate is 40 kids lined up (standing up) waiting for their turn to jump. This is just ridiculous, I can't see how anyone thinks that is the best idea for a kid to be on their feet for up to 20 minutes before they jump. What would be better would be like the deli counter. Athletes step up, take a number, and sit down in a theater surrounding. Then numbers are called in order eliminated the need for there to be a physical line.
