Unbelieveable if you're watching the Live CBS miscast of the NCAA
No live W 1500; no Live W 800 (up closes of jenny barringer and john mcdonnell instead)
They have no idea that arizona State women ( 2 in discus final) and Florida men (relay and a triple jumper) can still win the title over Oregon and Texas A&M and their commentators (arent' we tired on dwight stones and carol lewis yet????)
This is embarassing to a track fan and no help to make 1 a track fan
and we worry about NJSIAA announcing?
These guys get paid real money to announce
Can't they prepare?

The results going into the Men's Relay
Oregon 46 DONE
Texas A&M 40 (5th seed in relay) = 44
Florida 41 (4th seed) = 46
Florida state 36 (1st seed) = 46
CBS has not mentioned Florida yet!!!!!
BE PREPARED!!!
Go Gators (for embarassment purposes only!!!!)

It's ridiculous. I was looking forward to watching the women's 1500 and couldn't believe they didn't show it. What do they think we're watching for? And do they think the women are unimportant or something? To skip both the 800 and 1500 is ridiculous, and shows a clear bias IMO.

Broadcasters in track are TERRIBLE...always make awful mistakes, Rawson, Stones, Carol Lewis, etc. In any other sport, people would be fired if they made the blunders track announcers make routinely. Example, last week at the Prefontaine meet, basicallly no mention of Barringer until the final 100m when she shattered the collegiate record, beat several US Olympians and the gold medalist. Lewis Johnson actually says that the collegiate record is 4:06.19 just seconds after Barringer finishes in a photo finish, which I thought she may have won...3:59.90 is on the screen...just seconds later Johnson says that she has to be close to that mark....!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? How is that not totally clear that she demolished that mark and just ran one of the best 1500's in US history, well under the old meet mark, at the most high quality meet in the US!?!? Just terrible.

hard to believe that the cstv broadcast on the internet showed every single race, innumerable triple jumps and discus throws, started about 12:10 their time and finished about 1:50 and cbs can't even show all of the womens' mile and 800. just unbelievable.
they just don't understand that their audience is primarily track people who just want to watch the races (and field events if we have to). most of us could care less about their inane commentary and unimportant interviews, especially those that take away from the action. i didn't think the cstv broadcast was wonderful (they need lessons on how to film races which involve more than one person) but it was light years better than the supposed elite broadcasts from the always execrable cbs which must stand for (you) Can't Be Serious.

Met him at a clinic. Jackass
That coverage yesterday was horrible. CBS should bill it as the NCAA Men's Track and Field Championships. The women's coverage was a joke
