Hi, well I live in Mexico, but I want to know.....how long does a guy of 16 years need to jump in triple and long jump, to be respected, and qualify to a national championship in U.S.A? ;)

Triple, I'd say anything over 48 feet is respectable, I think nike qualifying outdoor was 47'8", not sure though. I dont know about long either, but if I saw someone jump 24 feet I'd say they were very good. This is mostly my opinion...

i would respect anyone over 47 or 23, but i would guess it would have to be farther to qualify for nationals.

This year at junior nationals the qualifying mark for long is 23'10" (7.26 ish) and 48' in triple. I competed this summer at the Pan-Am games and mexico didnt bring any long jumpers. It would be a big boost for your country if u could pull off the win there in the next few years (top 4 jumps were 7.60,7.59,7.24,7.23)

yeash in Long Jump anyone from Mexico Qualify, in triple a guy qualify, but the Pan-Am of this year there are only for guys under 20 years, I think that itīs so hard to see a guy of 16 in events like triple and long in a event like the Pan-Am
