I guess in addition to paying $3.00 per gallon to drive to Peoria, I get to pay another $10 just to park on a muddy lot. Is there any precedent for paying to park at Detweiller? Will this mean we get to have the awards ceremony indoors again?

I'm trying to think of a way to express my disdain. What do you think of these options?
1) Park uphill and walk down.
2) Boycott the Shirt Sales (on second thought my daughter will kill me)
3) Back in and tell the attendant you're leaving.
4) $10 in pennies from every car. OUCH!
5) $6.50 in pennies-- who has time to count 'em? (Rt. 29 backup X 1MILLION)
6) Put on a red vest and collect the money on Rt. 29 before the cars get to the lot and use the money to rent an indoor awards venue.
7) Get there early enough that the attendants are still sleeping.

You could always hitch-hike to Peoria.

Option seven would work best. I got to the park a few years ago at like 6:45 and not a single soul was there. I got in a quality run and when I got done people finally started to file in. If you get there early enough I bet they don't charge you, plus you have some time to get in a sweet run if you run at all.

Those trails up the hill are pretty awesome.

A possible dyestat group idea for those not running? Would anyone here go and do a early run the morning of state???

Certainly not you.

And what happened to the other thread about the charge for parking?
