I don't know if he was in the wrong runner the 400. His HS PR was 48 or 47 high? If he had dropped 1-2 seconds off of it at GU, he would be 47-45 high, which is much better than say...1:50 IMO.

Too bad he couldn't drop a lot of time in the 400. It'll be interesting to see how he does in the 800.

hurdlefreak

Bonner did not move up to the 800. His PR in the 400 is 46.98 and he ran 47.11 this indoor season which would suggest he'll be in the mid-low 46's this year. He was also in the 400 at the Duke meet, but he DNF'ed. He was likely running the 800 for some early season conditioning, that's all.

Hahaha, I'm surprised you noticed me in the results buried back in the developmental heats, was a pretty crappy race, went out in like 65-66. But just ran 3:54 this week though thanks to some Texas A&M guys taking it out hard to try and hit the regional standard, so I feel better.

very nice run for victor, that comes out to a 4:03 full mile right? he's clearly in much better shape now than he was at this time last year. he will most likely run a sub 4 equivalent. keep it up vic, you're a stud.

When he ran 3:45 last year, he added on the conservative 18 seconds to convert it to a mile. I'm sure in his eyes this was a 4:04 equivalent. As a result, nice.

I'm not concerned with the exact conversion. I was simply stating how he viewed his times last year---he added the conservative 18 seconds to his 3:45 to get 4:03 (most likely being hard on himself figuring he could have hit the wall in the last 100m), so IN HIS EYES I'm sure he views this 3:46 performance as a 4:04, unless his views have changed.

Okay, but I was just reasoning on how stizz probably came up with 4:03 and not 4:04 like you. That's all.

How do you know he only thought it was a 4:04 mile in his eyes is a better question?

FYI, a 3:47.62 1500m (which is what it appears Gras ran) converts to a 4:05.9 mile.

A 3:45.0 converts to 4:03.2y

BTW, that 3:50pt from Ben True is very nice. I wish he would run all three seasons.

He was a distance runner...27 flat 8k. He's doing the decathalon now...whether or not you want to call him a decathlete is another thing. He's a half decent jumper for a distance runner surprising but can't throw or sprint.
