Did Ocean City boys have the fastest team average of the day. Not to prove myself right or anything :D but they beat Washington Twp. and Triton head to head. It was a tough course times were way off... I was there and Paul Boardman, Anthony Kelhower, and I ran the back trail and I will tell you it was a river, the whole thing in ankle deep water.

Individuals: (no times, clock malfunction) 1, Rudy Belko, Triton. 2, Matthew Cowhey, Ocean City. 3, Kevin Cronin, Mainland. 4, Brian Toms, Triton. 4, John Fennekohl, Ocean City.
Looks like the averaged "nothing flat".

That has to be a SJ record....
Not timing an entire race that is. :D

Happened in the girls Group III race as well. I can understand, with the rain and all, but to not have a backup multi-stopwatch is ridiculous.

I was getting bored and lonely without you Fabbs W’s, wasn’t sure if you were still alive. You were so quiet after Shore Coaches…I wonder why? But what a relief to see you are back, I was getting worried.
But let’s talk about Shore Coaches, shall we. I searched the boards for days after the meet but found nothing from you. Guess you were probably too upset. Seeing your team get bushwhacked by seven other schools, even when Fennekohl doesn’t toe the line, hardly gives cause or support to your claims that Ocean City is a “championship” team. Funny coincidence though - Cherokee did not have their #3 runner that day yet they still finished well above the poverty line. Most curious isn’t it. Somehow championship teams always find a way to be successful, a lesson Ocean City should learn.
You know what else is funny - Cherokee has never been on these boards talking about how great they are. They just quietly destroy the competition and exude a true sense of confidence. You might want to follow their example, although I hope you don’t, because you truly entertain me.
But I digress.
Congrats does go to Ocean City for their SJ Open win although I would not agree that it suddenly cements Ocean City as a dominant program. The SJ Open is and always will be a joke of a meet. This year you had 4 teams on the line worth a spit, Mainland (which isn't worth much more than a spittle), Triton, Wash. Twp and Ocean City.
But I am confused. In what ways did this meet prove that you are right? From what I can recall this meet only proved how wrong you have been. I remember you telling me earlier how Fennekohl would be Ocean City’s top runner this year while I consistently said that Cowhey would be your stud...looks like you were wrong on that call.
And your second claim of a head to head victory? You might won’t to take that one back too.
From what I heard from a few coaches in South Jersey, Cherokee ducked the SJ Open to prepare for a dual meet against Wash. Twp that will decide their conference champion. I also heard that Wash. Twp took the meet as a tempo run and sat out one of their top 5, to prepare for the dual meet against Cherokee.
But on the same note I did hear that Triton was at full strength, so I will give you that one. Triton has not panned out the way I thought they would. I thought for sure that they would be more dominant, but hey, I can only be right 2 out of 3 times, I am not omniscient and all powerful.
So enjoy that win buddy. It was truly impressive; nothing like beating a dying a horse and then bragging about the victory…you truly have class Fabbs W’s!

As, at this point, I'd really prefer to avoid post deletion and banning for an individual who many have complained about, but (a) is really only deleteable and bannable in a borderline kind of way, with his sarcasm and baiting, and (b) who many have argued with in ways that are also at least deleteable.
PLEASE strongly consider just ignoring this guy and don't let him get you into an argument. If you want to make statements about your team (and this goes for everyone), do so in a non-personal, non-argumentative way.
As for you, runnxc, I don't know what your sinister motivation is, but your manner of posting is really dispicable, however subtle, and I will consider banning you if it continues.
C'mon guys, is it really worth getting into this about a few cross-country teams? Post nice, then find something else to do.

Again, PLEASE ignore this guy.

Sorry to disappoint... not dead yet although midterms are coming  I've been around... been running and getting back on track for 3 weeks now so my energy has been forced away from dyestat... books and runs. Washington Twp from my point of view was in no way treating this run as a tempo... an old trick from the book of runners and coaches coaching a dead horse... Unfortunately there are no times recorded for evidentiary fact to our claims. However if times are inadmissible... primary sources are... I was at the meet and couldn't help but notice that Washington Twp. looked full speed ahead.
Cherokee is doing real well; my speculation of a rough year was based on conversations with Cherokee runners whom I call my very good friends. As for Fennekohl he ran a good race, and is getting back on track. Based on his 16:30 at Holmdel one would have to at least give him a chance, and I still do think he is a threat.... equally is Matt Cowhey. He has been running great, and worked hard for that... deserves every bit of the spot light in his finale of his career.
This validates my claim they would pull together as a team by SJ Open which I stated on an earlier thread, this is just the beginning not just a mere one time performance.
P.S.- Cherokee has been on the boards... and still are. All though Sean McLaughlin was once notorious for asking me to 'Kill him if he is still posting on dyestat at 40'... He's got quite awhile.
