Hi, this is a threat just to know what´s your age, what are your PR in the jumps and your goals this season, also the other guys gibe opinions about your goals this year, something like this:
age: 16
TJ PR: 43´...........TJ goal this season: 46´......can I obtain it?
LJ PR: 20´5..........LJ goal this season: 22´......can I obtain it?
Ok, my english is not the best.............but I try

well you can obtain anything if you really tried, 46' and 22' seem doable with hard work...youre also just gonna improve cuz your body is naturally gaining muscle and strength.
tj pr-43'5.5" goal-46'
lj pr-19'11.75" goal-21'8"
I think my goals are reasonable. I only did long jump in a decathalon once, fouling 2 out of 3 of my jumps, so my long goal is definately acheivable. Last season triple jumps were inconsistent, so hopefully I can work on that a lot, weight room wise, and technique wise, in order to improve to 46', or at least the school record....oh and im 17.

how many pr threads are we going to have  ? lol...well, my pr's are 44'2" and 21'3" and i am shooting for 47 and 23. i know...really high, but i have been working hard in the offseason and will continue it til the season ends. i am 18 btw and this is my senior year so i better make it good. Nevada is not a competetive state so i plan to win state in both this year. i also am thinking about high jumping, and my goal would probebly be like 5'6" or something low.

yeah...ten feet higher than i can go. how old are you? we have a freshman who goes 10' and i consider him good for his age. on the other hand we have a senior who goes 11' and i don't consider that very good. is that your only event? if it is your only event you will probebly improve greatly just because you will be focusing just on that.

i think in a couple years our pole vaulting program with crank out a lot of good polevaulters
last year, i think, was the first year PV was taken really seriously and also probably the year with the most polevaulters (ie we had one PVer 2 years ago, last year we had like 3-4 guys 3-5 girls and this year we have even more)
and every single polevaulter we have is only a polevaulter o.O
and during track practice, they are there like an hour after everyone else has finished
last year we had 3 girls at or around 9 ft or so
best guy was only like 12 i think

we're at the same place with our pole vaulting(except the staying after practice part, the long and triple jumpers are always the last to leave). three years ago we had one guy pole vaulter and no girls. the guy went to state and went like 14'-14'6" i think. we have a lot more interest now. last year we had 5 guys. highest guy was only i think 11'-12' but most of the vaulters are freshmen. they mostly go around ten feet. we also had three girls which is great because it is the first time in like 8 years we have had a girl. our best went 8'6" and it was her first year but she was a junior so she only has one more year. our vaulters will never be as good as our jumpers. we have 3 freshmen comin in who have all tripled over 36' with no coaching. we also have two returning sophmores who went 39' and 40' as freshmen.

you guys are already practicing  . and in the morning none the less. we don't start until the end of Feb. we had a meeting to get an idea of how many kids we got this year, and then they throw out massive fundraisers on us cause our school don't give us crap for funding. anyone else buy their own uniforms? two words..."LIME GREEN" ...and the cheepest ones around no doubt. it's ok though, it's all about how you perform not how you look. i hope we win state this year in our cheepos and watch all the rich schools and their speedsuits cry all the way home. too bad we'll never win state :(

we have an all year track program ..
offseason is in the mornings
during season in the mornings and afternoon .. afternoon is the main workout(when all the people from other sports join in)
we're lucky enough not to have to pay for our gear .. im thankfull for that .. i dont really want to pay for $300 worth of stuff

you guys do know that coaches can not and i mean can not help you guys during the school year before track the coaches can only give you advice then and only then also you can not vault at the school.
just to let you know even though i would love to polevault in the winter

uhhh .. yea they can ...
where are you from? o.O

just pretend that they cant for some reason
it would be pretty bad since our school has sanctioned it? and by morning i do mean before school .... and during school. We meet before the actualy school starts .. but go on until the end of first period .. Yes track is counted as our first period class
and I know for a fact that some schools around here practice track the same way ... & afterschool ALL year long and there arent any rules against it ..
its like saying you can't have an offseason in football, basketball, volley etc..

last season we had a guy that jumped in 7th grade and was pretty good
he chose basketball though all through highschool and never did track
his SENIOR year he decided to try it out one more time
his FIRST time in PRACTICE he cleared 6'6
and got to 7'0 and got practicaly a full ride to UCLA because of it o.o

Typically without injuries you will continue to get better with good training and becoming more physically mature. I always like to take a freshman year pr and sophmore year pr, find the difference in inches, the reduce that improvement percentrage by 20% each year to give yourself reasonble goals up to your senior year of high school.

~Hi, I have a Friend that do TJ, and his PR is 42` and he is training to do a 45`or a 46`, does this goal are reacheable??
******* yes, but, depending on what grade he is .. say he's a freshmen or sophomore .. then it would probably be more likely that he does improve .. also depends if his form is on point .. if it wasnt exactly perfect and he fixes this .. this can really help .. but overall a 42-45 in a year is doable but not going to be easy easy ..
~Also in Long, her PR are 20`and he want´s to jump a 22`? are this reacheable?
*******lol he's a girl =P j/k... again it depends on a lot of things .. asking if its reachable is really a bad question lol ... though 2 feet in long jump is an incredibly big jump especial when you go to like 20-22 21-23 .. not so much as 18-20 ... but again it depends on how his form was and if he can improve on that .. again doable .. going to be extremly hard ..

Ok, He´s a sophomore....
He are not too fast, their Best 100m are: 12.90
It´s Triple, have a great hop... a poor step....and a decent Jump
In long, he has great elevation in the jump, but the landing are horrible, most of the times he lands in her knees
ok, with this stats, I think that improving more speed, and a regular-good technique, I think that he could be doing the 46` and the 22`
What do you think?

ok im 5'10/150 and 16 years old...last year i went 23'4 /6'3/ and 44 but the high i only did in the decathlon and the triple was a one time thing...my speed is pretty decent 10.9/22.3 and 14.0/37.7 so can any expert tell me how much i can improve...my goal in the long is 24'5 for right now.
P.S- ive just started lifting this year and my landings last year held me back from a 23'9 foul
