I guess Havel ran a 4:21 mile against Prospect today. That is an awesome time for a freshman. Thoughts anyone?

High 4:21. Pretty awesome time. He was fresh, ran the 3rd leg of the 4X8 but they started to pull back about 200 meters into his leg since they were pretty much out of that race.

He ran against Murray and Craven who had run the open 3200, they jogged a 10:16 together. Murray went about 4:22+

Havel will test some folks this spring.

Under the category of different ways to handle a team. Did anyone notice that Havel was not heard from indoors? Was he hurt or were the coaches being smart about his development

Havel's coaches were just playing it smart during the indoor season. They realized that indoor doesnt matter all that much and since Kevin is only a frosh they could build his base during the indoor season. Good to see Havel doing well...coach Phillips is an awesome coach.

w00t for HAVEL. I bet he'll take the 3200 and 1600 his junior and senior years.

I like the way their coach thinks. Anyone heard anything about Wisser?

He was in the varsity 4x8 and ran pretty slow.

There are some excellent freshman milers out there this year.

Will any challenge Craig Miller's freshman 1600 record of 4:14.26?
