hmm well i know most people are pretty preoccupied with the penn relays coming up but as a morris county guy i was wondering how its shaping up for the different events...something like a preview for the championship meets coming up around the corner...and for all non morris county guys why not add the state anyway...in other word i am specifically wondering how morris county is shaping up for each of the different events this year but why not while we are at it see how nj is ranking up this year for the different track events

Do not know what Morris Hills has posted yet for the DMR; they did not qualify for Penn, so I imagine they are no better than 10:40 (Kinger?)
MH runs Friday morning at 9:15 or 9:25 in the 4x800 heats (Penn). They may go as low as 8:05pt. Around 8:09 so far (Kinger?)

MH will run close or under 8:10..
They now CAN go 10:30's high or so? Will they? Don;t know. Probably will or may go 4 x Mile at NOC
Their DMR PR's look like
3:14
50.8
2:01
4;26
I think that's 10:32?

Looking ahead to states, North I Group 3 is going to be reallly close and competetive. Morris Hills, Northern Highlands, Demerast, and West Milford are all in the same section. Should make for one exciting meet. Any predictions?

Morris County Relays:
Teddy "Big Game" Galligan goes 56.18 in IH to lead MH to 2:51.03? I think
They also win TJ Relay Bolcavoric leads there , BUT bg jump from soph Aaron King at 41'1"
Soph Kyle Soloff anchors(from 6 secs back) 18:20.4 4 x 16 win in 4:24.9, 63.0 last lap
Splits I had were:
Rodkiewitz 4:32.1
Uyrynowich 4:40.3
Wasser 4:43.1

No, I am not in there
By the way Soloff is really running well right now, Labar will anchor tomorrow's DMR matchup with Randolph and Mo Town..who by the way ran so gamely today..Coach Buccino and his crew did a great job. Soloff had to run huge PR to win this.

i can't seem to find any individual results for morristown outdoors. i know they ran 8:14 at penn and have the county relay meet this weekend. but no individual results. anyone have some times from duel meets, or plits any of those guys are running this weekend. also, if there are any insiders, who on the team has the duties of running the 2 mile at county and league meet? anything would be great. mark hess, chris beyrent, liam mulcahy?

How are the Morris Hills weights and jumping teams? What are their PRs? Mo Hills is looking impressive
king99
05-07-2005, 10:04 AM
Morris Hills is down in the weights after having two years almost full of 3 50 foot SP'ers and 170 Foot Discus thrower.
They should come close in LJ today
They HAD three 12 foot type at least PV'ers but injuries had cut into that
Motown lead off in 4 x 16..about 4:34 high to 35 low..
second leg probably 4:37? as they took lead against Uyrynowich 4:40
further extened againt Wasser 4:43 so I would guess another 39 or 40
Then Soloff was down 6 and won by 8 so 4:39 for Hess?
I think that actually may add..
Merlin
05-07-2005, 11:57 AM
I actually thinks that comes out to more like 18:30. Maybe a little quicker for 2nd leg and even a bit slower for first.

My splist add to 28. 29 which is what they ran..
34, 37, 39, 38?..plus fractions would be 28 point which is what they ran

I believe the County Relay meet ends in a tie with Randolph and MoTown at 86.. MHill at 81?
Morris Hills wins DMR in 10:36 , with 1:58.8 leg Soloff blows it open.
McGrane was very tough,..he ran 1:57.1 at 3:50PM.... 4:24 at 4:25 PM and then what looked to be about 2 flat at 5:15 or so? In 4 x 8.
Morris Hills with many doubling right back as well win 4 x 8 at 8:17.3
I don;t think I have seen this recently..MHills won 7 of 15 events and finished thrid..
For the weekend :
Soloff goes 4:25, 1:58.8 2:02.4 less than 50 minutes later ..not bad for the soph.
Rodkiewitz PR's in 800 split (sprint med)in 2:03.5..
DMR splits were Decker at 3:12.9, 54.3 for Godfrey, 1:58.8 for Soloff ,,4:29.7 or so for Labar

very nice weekend for the roxbury ladies, setting the county record in the 4x1600m (21:10), breaking their own county record in the distance med (12:03) and breaking the meet record for the 4x800.

maybe 1:54 high b/c grandstaff's split might have been 22.6 and not 22.9...but i knew his coach had him at 1:54. 4
grandstaff is becoming quite the runner also. ive seen major improvments over the past months in his overall skill (HJ & LJ) as well.

Indeed, very impressive. If they run East Coast, they have the potential to go sub-21 and sub-12.

Good job Gael Ladies!
I see that ali caruana is running... i guess she was trianing all winter... where would she fit on their DMR? if she ran the 12 leg, would they go sub 12?
what did she run in leading off the 4 x 1600? It would be nice to see her be one of the several girls in NJ to go sub 11 this year in the 3200/2 mile.
even with sedberry sidelined for hte season, there is going to be great depth in the mile and 2mile, even the 800 too.

i dont think if caruana ran the 12, rox would go sub 12. tencza could go 58high/59low in the quarter if she keeps training for the half as well. cromartie going 2:15 helps too.

Was that 5:25 an "all out" effort? If so, it does not indictate sub 11:00 fitness. She may get there but this is not an indicator.

5:25? with comp? is going to get you sub 11 for 3200, I don;t think so.
She is not the same runner she was during cross, for whatver the reasons. I hope not injury or illness, but she was very good in cross.

where is she going to college??? RU, Rutgers or Richmond??? I thought i read in the fall that she was going to BC!?!?!?
actually NOT going to BC may be good for her, given the downfall that women's program has taken...
mortimer should take it over and he would do a good job turning it around i am sure... it's what he is doing with the guys right now except the women's program has scholarships...
