Lately, my times have been in the toilet and I'm constantly tired. I take a multivitamin, eat plenty of whole grains, and haven't donated blood since I learned the hard way that it screws your running. Still, I'm feeling inexplicably tired and end up falling asleep unintentionally at inappropriate times (i.e. in class). Total, I'm up to about 11-13 hours of sleep a night in an effort to feel better, but it's not working.
The only thing I can think of is that I'm somehow anemic again...
Any ideas?

It's remarkably tough to say without knowing more about you and your training in the past several months, etc. You could very well be overtrained, or perhaps (but more unlikely) suffering from depressed testosterone levels.
It'd obviously be tough for someone not familiar with all the intricacies of your training from the past few months to determine whether overtraining is the culprit, so you may want to discuss that with your coach; however, a quick and simple way to see if it's a possibility is to take your resting heart rate, and see if it's slightly elevated from what your normally register. This might not work if you don't semi-regularly record your resting heart rate, but an elevated heart rate (of only 5 bpm usually) can be a solid indicator of overtraining.

So my 58 (up from 47) is a pretty bad thing?

Very likely, yes. Elevated heart rate is the easiest and most common way to detect overtraining.

sorry, I realize it's not funny, but I saw this and for a second I thought those were 400 times. in which case the question is sorta humorous.
