2005 IHSA State Track and Field Championships
Meet Workers and Volunteers
The Track and Field Staff at Eastern Illinois University is looking for meet workers and volunteers to help with the 2005 IHSA Girls and Boys State Track and Field Meet(s). In past years, many high school coaches across the state have brought workers/volunteers (non-competing athletes, parents, etc) to the meet to help out and we are asking again for your help. To inquire about helping at either of the state meets, please contact:

Meet workers/volunteers will receive a workers pass (gets you into the state meet for free), lunch and snacks and an official state meet worker t-shirt. And, a great opportunity to watch the state meet from an "on the field" vantage point!
A typical work assignment would be raking the long jump pit, retrieving the discus or shot put, moving starting blocks or helping with awards. Ideally, we would like to assign a particular event (i.e., the long jump, starting blocks, discus, etc.) to a specific team and it's workers/volunteers. When that event is complete, that team is done working.
We would love to get an early handle on our worker/volunteer assignments so if you and your team can help out, please contact Coach Masanet as soon as possible. Thank You in advance for helping make the IHSA State Track and Field Championships a great meet!
All workers and volunteers will get to run for free in the Open Races
at the state meet, held on Friday Night!! (as an added incentive to volunteer!)
