All college and high school standard course distances are shown on the map (5K, 2-Mile, 5-Mile, 10K, and 4.15-Mile.
Our exceptional cross country facility is nearly complete. Every quarter mile has been carefully engineered, measured and permanently marked for numerous standard course lengths that use a common starting and finishing line (a coach's dream course). The facility provides numerous points in close proximity to the start/finish location for excellent spectator viewing (a spectator's dream course). The facility consists of a long starting line area and wide running trails over varied terrain, all of which consist of decomposed granite (a runner's dream course).
The completion of our premier Cross Country Athletic Facility is the result of generous assistance from many in our community along with considerable investment from the university. We would like to express our gratitude to Doug Wyatt Trucking and Sons for their enormous assistance last month in constructing our new extended starting area (We can now place 36 teams each within their own 6-foot wide starting box) and distributing a 3-inch layer of "Gold Find" Decomposed Granite along our entire running course.
