As far as Nashville area middle schools, Quanisha Sales (8th) of Rose Park MS ran 12.2 (hand) in the 100 prelims of the Western Div. track meet earlier this week. Ran 12.62 (FAT) last summer. Probably the best middle school sprinter in the mid-state. Also ran a 60 split (4x4) last year as a seventh grader. Was told she is going to Overton High School next year. The best distance girl (middle school) in the Nashville area is Kathy Kroeger of Page. Ran 5:20 for 1600 last year. Dont know her times yet this year. Ran 8:32 for 1.5 miles in cross country back in the fall. Would have placed 2nd in the boys race going by her time. Was told her time is faster than what Bumbalough ran on that course back in the 8th grade. As far as relays, MLK middle school girls have soloed 53.2 in the 4x100. Should run a 52 by the Nashville City (public) meet. Rose Park should be in the low 4:20's in the 4x4 with the Sales girl. A boy (name?) from Croft middle school in Nashville ran a 22.8 (hand) 200 in the prelims of the Western Div. (Nashville) this week. Rain has delayed the finals. May not run until Monday. I will post the results. Top four go to the City finals.

Nashville public middle schools are divided into two Divisions where the top four in each event meet the top four in the other Division for the City Championships. Below are some results of the Western Division Middle School Track finals. All events were hand timed.
