Where in the world would you love to go, if cost were no object?

It's tough, but I'll reel off a few...

1) Australia, both Outback and Upfront;
2) Boat trip up the Amazon (plenty of mosquito netting included)
3) Victoria Falls
4) South Pole, before it melts away
5) Gallapagos Islands
6) Alaska, coastal and interior

You know that Corona ad, where a couple are sitting in lounge chairs on a tropical beach? You don't see anything but their arms reaching for a cold Corona, under a palm tree. And you're looking out into the ocean as the surf gently rolls up on the beach. And there is a gently breeze along with a warm but not hot sun. And there are no other tourists, and no poor locals, and no one bothering them. And it's real peaceful. That's where I want to go. Only problem ... I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist.

1) Ethiopia, to train for a day with those crazy runner fellas
2) Egypt, to see the pyramids (again--I did this 5 years ago and it was amazing)
3) Tokyo, that is where it is at these days as far as technology and stuff goes
4) NYC, I've never been there
5) the Moon, I know you said "where in the world" but you also said money was no object....

Athens, GA cause that is the home base of the Elephant 6 musical collective, which 4 of my top 10 favorite bands are part of.

Doesn't matter where I go, it matters who I go with. So I'd go wherever the other person/people want to.

So, where does minibee want to go? :D

Agreed. Woodenfrog on Kabetogama, then on to the islands. The pines sprout from the granite Canadian Shield country and whisper endlessly in the night breeze to the ancient Manitou that dwells upon that land.

1. Vietnam. I don't know, I've always wanted to see Ho Chi Minh lying in state. Plus, I've heard it's beautiful.
2. Angel Falls. Tallest waterfall in the world. I kinda want to jump off it... call me crazy.
3. New Jersey. Yeah, I know, lame, but there's a really really good reason for that one.
4. Italy. The home of my ancestors. I've been there before and I got the coin in the Fontana di Trevi, so, by tradition, I must go back.
5. The Met. No, not just to see an opera. I will be in an opera. I will be the Queen of the Night someday. That high F was written for me. muahaha
6. Galapagos Islands. One word. Iguanas. Lots of 'em.
7. Auschwitz. The site of one of the most horrific events on earth... something to humble the human race.
8. I'm with Luv2Run here, I'd totally go to the moon. There's something really cool about weighing 17 lbs and being able to jump really high without much force.
9. Ireland. It's green. We don't have green where I live.
10. Vatican City. It would have been really neat to be there a couple of weeks ago. I just want to meet the pope someday, whoever he may be at that time.
11. "Tibet" or what they call Tibet. I want to meet the Dalai Lama. What a cool guy.

2. Whistler, BC-good snowboarding, and good running
3. Ireland-going back to my roots and the home of Guinness
4. New Zealand-home of Lydiard, spend a few months-okay years-training there
5. Israel-visit the holy land and go to med school there
6. Colorado-run the trails from RWTB, and hiking
7-10. Oregon, Germany (beer), Scotland, Normandy

New Jersey is so much better than you think it is.

According to an article I read on Yahoo the other day the zip code directly adjacent to mine is the 10th best or 10th richest or 10th...something good...in the country.

Just watch out for those whispering willows!!

That would be on Blackwood's Danube.

- I like where I am, a lot. Very lucky to be here. If it weren't in such a goofy state, it'd be even better. I think New Hampshire and Cali should exchange state governments for a year.

- The Mojave is mighty, mighty fine. Did I say mighty?

- As for remote exotica, I'd like to try Mongolia.

- A number of my favorite cities are in Europe, but I'd just like to buy a EurRail pass (or two) and just travel randomly by train for a couple months.

- Far northern Canada, like Yellowknife or Labrador or Nunavut. Gotta see the 24-hour sun, and the aurora. Gotta fend off the mosquitos.

- Ayers rock, Australia, and Kakadu national park. Gotta see one of those immensely old craters.
