make a 90 degree angle w/ you 4 fingers and thumb and put the angle right in the middle of the disc...your other arm not throwing should pull back tight into your body...dont come out the front of the throwing area

I could use some disc advice also. I just started last meet (I'm a jumper), and I love it! I got about 90 feet just standing there throwing it, I'd like to get over a hundred to be the top in my league. Other than getting the spin in it, any more advice?

I am throwing anywhere from 80-90 standing or sliding. If you learn how to spin correctly, which is the only advice I can give you, you should add a lot more to your throw. Good luck!

in the spin you want to go from low to high. snap the discus at release through the eye level. the goal of the "spin" isnt to spin into the circle, you want to kick out and stride into the circle. think of making a reverse 7 with your feet. unless you are lefty, in which case you do a normal 7

You only need tips for the javelin...discus's around round.

When holding the discus, do not wrap the index or ring finger around it. They should be bent in your palm. This allows for the upper cortotic theremer to be fully extended for maximum distance.

well... i know a little about the discus. Always keep your arm flat until you. Then you want to release at a 45* angle. Another thing is to release as quickly as possible.

If you disc goes to the left... you released it to late. If it goes to the right you released it to early( this also appies to the shot put).
