I am verklepmt, so talk amongst yourselves, here is the topic: according to iaafs rankings, only five of the worlds top twenty milers are non African, they are Michela East ,Gbr, Webb, USA, Ivan Heshko ,Ukr, Rui Silva ,Por, and a spaniard. IS this good or bad? Discuss. :D

Bernard Lagat would still fall under the African category. Dummyface.

Not sure

Alan Webb and Ivan Heshko seem similar to me. They are caucasian with upper body strength with great kicks. Ivan Heshko ran a faster time than Webb last year(but Webb didn't run a fast 1500 after early June, Heshko ran in early September). Alan Webb likes to stay right behind the rabbits, seems confident, but Heshko tries to focus on his kick I believe.

Who will place higher in Helsinki if they make the final?

woah I was banned for two days.... I promise to restrain myself.

Right noew I would tip my favor twoards webb due to his tremendous accomplishment in the 5k at penn. His 800 split shows he has diecent speed for this early in the season. webb has a leitamte shot at breaking sydnee marees american record of 3:29 hashko could alsoo run about 3:31-3:29 so it will be very interseting in july. I just hop webb cna make it to the fianal. :D

if webb wants an american 1500m record, he's going to have to do it early, because lagat is going to own that thing for the next 20 years if he can repeat last year's 3:27. in fact, last year's 3:27 might end up being the american record since he apparently got citizenship last May.

Along those lines..if anyone is familar with syndee maree you know he became an american citizen after iving in south afric for mist of his life. Lagat is just as American as Maree was so he should be allowed to represent the US. I have know idea why I brought thta up but it felt good.

Dang! I wonder who will run a faster time this year, Alan Webb or Ivan Heshko!

I am guessing Webb will run: James Madison Last Chance invite 1500/800, Hengelo 1500, an 800 somewhere around this time, Prefontaine Classic Mile, Usatf 1500, London Mile, an 800 around this time, then Helsinki 1500, I am not sure if he'd run after Helsinki, hopefully this time he does.

what do you make of webbs 1:47 split. I think that is a good indicator that he has a lot in store this year.
