Adam Nelson is BY FAR the most entertaining thrower to watch so he is definitely one of my favorites. Laura Gerraughty along with Becky Breisch are also awesome - - very intense!!! As far as international throwers, I like to watch Alekna from Lithuania as well as Kumbernuss and Kleinert from Germany . . . from back in the day Mac Wilkins was pretty sweet

basically who ever hasn't gotten caught for steriods, Nelson is good to watch, theres another guy too i can't remember his name throwers are always underpublicized so it can get hard to follow, like during the olympics it was on in the morning (yes i stayed up to watch and taped it to study form)

Even though he had his gold medal stripped, by far the most entertaining thrower to watch is Robert Fazekas. He is the most amazing athlete to ever throw the discus. My favorite guy is probably John Godina..................But I'll just throw this in....I think the best thrower ever out of any of the throwing events is Jan Zelezny, who throws the javelin, from Czechoslovakia..this guy is an absolute freak...peace out yall....and go SOONERS.

I am afraid I will have to prove you wrong in two throwing events. The best thrower in shot put has to be Bryan Ol'Field and the best in discus has to be John Powell. My favorite girl thrower would have to be Meg Ricthie ( now Stone) She coaches at East Tennessee State and still holds the NCAA records in the Shot Put and Discus.

You can never discount Tom Petranoff's 327' Javelin Throw!!!

And as far as John Godina, I believe he is the only of maybe two men in history to ever have been ranked in the top 5 in both Shot-Put and Discus in the Same year...and did it 3 times!!! He's 33 years old and still one of the top throwers in the world!!!

However, Adam Nelson is very entertaining to watch and the fact that he is normally undersized compared to his competition is very exciting for me!! I have undersized throwers very often and I have them watch him for motivation. My 14 year old son just won both the USATF Youth Outdoor Nationals and USATF Junior Olympic Nationals this last summer with a P.R. of 50'5 1/2"!! He was only 5'7" and 140lbs!!! He ended up with the 4th furthest throw in the country!!!

Now for women, I love to watch Suzy Powell throw and I still believed she got screwed on her American Record a couple of years ago... But when she's on, she's fun to watch... I just wish she could be more consistant... Our women throwers in this country are just not up with the rest of the world right now...
