I was just glancing at the All State results real quick and i noticed that most of their guys are sophmores and Juniors. Theyd be losing a great runner in Depina, but they have a sure 1 point in Gill and the rest of their guys would be even better. Any thoughts?

they have a sure 1 point in Gill
In case you missed the note, the one guy he lost to is a junior.
Even if he wasn't, there are no sure things in xc.

Could happen, it all depends on what DeBeau and Smith do as their 4th and 5th men. 1-3 will be absolutely dominant. One question though, how is Gill a sure 1 point?
Edit: AzN got the sure 1 point thing off seconds before me.

it really all comes down to their 4th and 5th guy. I would say they have a chance at repeating next year with their solid top 3 runners. I think brookline will be out for blood next year along with mansfeild. who knows what will happen a year from now. ones thing for sure, and that is its gonna be a one hell of a good race.

Yeah I was kinda talkin about my ass about the sure 1 point thing there but he'll score so little points, it will be like there only running 4 men anyway.

True, however Xaverian did not qualify as a team, so Gill actually got the "1" in the team scoring this year.

truth. Brookline is mostly sophomores, and Jason O'Connell and I are the only guys leaving Mansfield's top 7.

Don't forget Amherst. They return guys who scored 11, 19, 21, and 50. And they always reload because they have a huge program and a great JV.
Plus the All-States will be out west next year.
I think Amherst would be ranked 2nd in MA at this extremely early date.

That's a lot though. Mansfield will be very good, but only depending if Barca, Meagher, and Bolea are able to drop significant times. They'll have two way under 17, maybe even Collins under 16? But I'm not so sure about 3-5.

Is there any chance that the top CT teams will run at Brown or Manhattan?

brockton's top 3 will definately be much better and have a shot at having all of them in the top ten..... then their next 2 have legitimate shots at being top 25 with the right training..... so i think they will still be a great team next year but they don't have many guys to round off the top 7 so it is going to be hard to have the depth as they once did.....but they always work hard adn have always surprised us so we really just have to wait..... other teams like brookline, mansfield and amherst will all be better so next years all-state race might be a great one to remember
