I realized the other day that I have never actually driven to Van Cortlandt park. I either took the bus with the team or took mass transit. So, can anyone help me find directions to the park or at least give me an exact address and I'll mapquest it.Thanks in advance

Someone correct this if its wrong, I'm going purely off memory.
New Jersey Turnpike to the George Washington Bridge. Take the exit for the Major Deegan (not sure which way exactly). Then there is an exit for Van Cortland Park. It's illegal but you can make a hard left after the ramp and it leads you right into one of the back parking lots.
I'll look for the exact directions that someone gave me last year.

The easiest way is to take the Parkway to 80 east, but the turnpike is fine too. Go over the GW and then take the Henry Hudson Parkway North (no buses) to the Broadway exit. You're at the north end of the park at that point. If you make a right off the exit, you can park by the horse stables. A left takes you down to the start finish. The Deegan (87 N) will take you to the VCP Golf Course exit, which you can wrap around to get to Broadway.

Take the Major Deegan Expressway to the Van Cortlandt Park South exit. Off the northbound exit ramp, make a sharp left turn at the yield sign and head through the underpass to the Van Cortlandt Golf House. Off the southbound exit ramp, make a left on Van Cortlandt Park South, and the next left at the traffic light. Bear to the left and drive through the underpass to the Golf House.
that's the direction on the park website...should be correct

If you want to Mapquest it, the finish line is by Broadway and 251st Street, but it might be hard to find parking.

Thanks again, parking is the least of my worries. I'll park in Brooklyn and take a subway haha as long as I get close to Van Cortland I will be happy.

i takes about 1hr from Penn St on the local. you can do it quicker if you get the express train, but you'll have to change before you leave manhattan.

Bear in mind that the A is running local tomorrow while the 1 is running express, so your best bet would be just to ride the 1 all the way from Penn to VCP< and it shouldn't take more than 45 minutes..

Major Deagan, 87 North is critical. Stay to your right because it forks with 87 South to your left and you come up on this fork real fast :D
