Everybody knows that regionals is just to qualify. He ran impressively yes, but nationals is the only race that truly matters and is remembered. Hopefully he runs a smart race, and he'll do just fine.

I think he ran 4:13ish ... but I'm not sure if that was before or after altitude adjustment

didn't he take the ACT 2 times and can't get higher than a 13??? I've heard rumors from gunnison about this..... He's going to have to end up running at a junior college instead of going to CU.....
if you answer c to every question on the act you get a 12.
4:11 Mile this past June in Nashville,Tn. As far as test scores go, that is a private matter. If Mo go's Div 2 instead of Div 1 it is because he wanted to, not because he had to.

Isn't he leaning towards Arizona or Oregon?

true that , western state in my opinion has the best running program in the nation. developing 17 min 5k (no talent) runners into champions. they are d2 but also the school sucks.
I tell all of the kid's that I work with, that the key things to keep in mind when selecting a school is find a place that is academically, socially, financially and athletically the right fit for them. I feel that there are no bad schools, just a bad fit for certain students.

Brad, great job with Mo. Good to see a well rounded approach. How do you expect Mo will do at Nationals? It is good he has so much big meet experience under his belt, I can not imagine anyone in the country more fit or rpepared than him. Perhaps only Jeff Helmer in Washington. Good to see good things for Mo.

good statement. i agree in that order. thats why I'm not going to Western state. going to Utah Valley State.. Academics better for me, environment better for me and running program is still decent.

well yeah do you think he will though?
It sounds like Adam is a talented young man. I think he has just as good of a chance as any of the other contenders.
In regards to Mo and Nationals, he is very fit and ready mentally to have a great race.

Adam is an amazing talent. I have seen him run 15:30's in completely solo efforts. He has been unchallenged all year long, running mid 15's in solo efforts winning by 30-40 seconds. Unbelieveable.
I don't think anyone knows how fast he really is, he is definitely close to 15 or perhaps just under with real competition. I think he has as good a shot as any.

mid 15's for a 3 mile..
3 mile and 5 k is different... good ol utah high schools 3 mile.. ad like 30-40 seconds and you have their 5 k time at 4500 feet. 4500 isn't that bad. once you get to like 6000 feet, then it starts to hinder performance significantly, not saying 4500 doesn't, cuz it does but not nearly as much. when I ran a race at 4500 over the summer I only ran 5 seconds slower than I had in michigan 1000 feet.... but yeah.. it has an effect I have to admit that but yeah.. I don't think mcdonald is as great of a XC runner as some make it out to be.. my opinion. but yeah.. i don't know..

No, he won the state all-star meet in 15:34 for 5000 meters. That was held at about 4000 feet elevation. Second place was right around 16:17 or something.

He is as good a runner as most think he is at least here in Utah.

Brad, what happened to Ige?
he won FLMW.
During the warm up on friday Mo was doing a build-up of 50 meters at 80% and he strained his quad. Nothing major. Mo went over to the trainer and was looked at. The trainer said at least 3 times,"what ever you do, don't run the down hills fast or it could get hurt allot worse". On that course you are either going up or going down hill, not much flat. Mo was ready for a great race, though AJ was the best man on the day that counted.
