Edit I've never posted it seems-I guess they only count posts of substance and verve.

When the "new"dyestat was made post count was on for a shirt period before admin. turned it off. So all the posts you ahd before they turned it off remain cuz they can erase them. All the posts after dont count.

Then why do some people who joined up well after the function was disabled have posts listed in their count? See pmahcdlrowcx a few posts up.

The "Summer Camp" area had its post counter enabled for a short time while it was getting set up.
