Well, being I am a high school sophmore girl, my goals aren't near as far as yalls....we have only had one meet so far.

PRs:
Discus: 101 feet, without spin; 114 at practice (This year at first meet. Last year's best was 84'6".)
Shot Put: 28 feet (last year); 26 this year's first meet


Goals:
Discus: 115 feet in competition and get the spin down.My coach thinks I can easily bust 120.
Shot Put: 30 feet...thats all i ask...go on and laugh

yes it did.. my goal for indoors this year was 85' even so i beat it by 6 inches... i was surprised cause usually i throw my goals out there so i dont hit them and have something to kick my ass about in the offseason...

Well, my son (Kenneth Rowland) is off to a respectable start...

He's had one competition so far outdoors.

SP: 47' 6 1/2"
D: 122'2 1/2" (with about a 20knot wind coming at him from left to right)

We don't have Javelin in N.C. for H.S., but he got his new 800g last week and threw 138'10" saturday and had 6 throws over 130'.

He told me his goals were:
SP: 55' (he's hit 48'8" in practice)
D: 150' (he's hit 132' in practice)
Jav: 170'

He doesn't turn 15 until May and is only a Freshman and his H.S. Coach is going to put him in the 100m, so I think the SP & Discus may be a bit lofty, but he works hard. Hopefully, he'll put some meat on him... He's still only 5'10" and he's up to a whole 158lbs now...

Well last weekend I had my first outdoor meet in Oklahoma and I almost got my goal in discus (202).....they only gave us 3 throws but on my second throw I got one off at 199'3''....we had kind of a side tailwind at about 5 mph so you could only get a good throw if you throw down the right sector line...as far as shot goes I threw 57'4'' indoors.

Tabor..awesome, 200 so close and a sophomore, you gotta come out to Arcadia...

Hopefulley I will get off a 185 before that it will be the only meet I will throw against you. I am not doing JOs this summer. I made b standard last year as a soph it was a horrible day, wind was totaly wrong I think the A meet was won by something like 192, and my meet by like 160. I hope they improved the ring placement. Post your 200 as soon as you get it. Ever have trouble staying off the track. Our ring is in the infield of our football field, and I am only throwing low 180's (in practice so far) and am hitting the long jump runway and bouncing it onto the track.

sweet......yeah I got the little letter in the mail for the GW it showed the A and B standards for each event........for A standard in discus it was 188 and A standard in shot was 62. But they can change them later in the year cause my bro's senior year he got to go even though he threw 182 becauase they lowered the standard to allow a few more people...yeah we have 2 rings at our school on a practice football field. The directions of the rings are very good for the wind most the time. In practice I can hit mid to high 200's with a good wind now blowing over 10 mph.. we have our invite this friday and me and sean are throwing at it.

Well I only throw javelin and I'm a junior but my goals are to win our conference meet this year and year by year.
Freshman PR: 121'4" 8th or 9th at conference
Sophomore PR: 133'10" 4th or 5th at conference, went to states but came in 23 out of 25
Junior year goal: at least 150' but goal is 170', win conference, place top 10 at states
Senior Year: break school record of 193'5", win conference, place top 5 at states
