its too bad freshmen times dont account for anything really. although there are some nasty frosh out there (little ahearn), frosh times dont matter too much until they step it up and put up great times.

prolly caused they figured it would be more exciting or something, it would bring more ppl out to the meet, plus danbury has 8 lanes, so they can get through the heats pretty quickly.


i start finals that monday to, so i have finals the day after fciac also which sucks

i bet tom, isnt guna go to them cause he has to study, hew did that sophyear, i waas like tom ursuch an idiot who cares about 2 tests that mean nothing(these were reg. tests not finals)

Weston. I talked to my coach, and he said he was going to try and see if we could work it in. Definitely going to the Bethel one, and hopefully yours.

Probably won't. I forget the kids name, but he's easily one of the fastest kids in the SWC right now. Around 11.2 100 Dash i believe.

My brothers are twins though, so it should prove interesting to see the coaches reactions :p

How many teams go to the annual Little C meet in Cheshire? I remember last year it was the pinnacle of my season, and I was more or less disappointed by the small number of teams attending it. It usually shapes up to be a good meet, but every year it seems to be the same teams vying for the championship (i.e. Xavier, Notre Dame, Cheshire, Lyman Hall). If some more teams came to the meet, I'm sure the increased competition would generate some nastier freshman times. just my opinion, of course.

At the little cs this year we kicked as* we won by liek 30 points we had a frosh sprinter run 11.3 and a frosh miler drop a 4.41 i think that proves u wrong gaffer there r some sick freshman outh there ( most from danbury) j/k but there is some real good talent

True that... we didn't even have Matt Terry run (16:59 XC 5K) and we still managed to beat them by 30 points... Little Cs were ours this year.

Gotcha... 11.9 along with the 55 and 56 is pretty nice, but theres a lot more talent than that... those are real nice times for a freshmen though

Your 53 woulda won... we had a guy that ran 55.7 in indoor but in outdoor his non-stop premiere soccer is catching up to him and hes not doing as good... he got 2nd and i think the winning time was like 56.xx you definitely would have won

Hmm, dunno if my bro will be up to it (one of them anyways). Fell hardcore running the 100 today, and lost a big of skin to the track. And by a bit, i mean alot. Abrasions all over his body, so running will be uncomfortable for the next week.

in the 200- i ran a 24.2 at staples with wind like crazy at the home strech it was blowing hard and I pulled that time I think when we have the Danbury freshmen meet I going to be able to run a sub 24.

Yea we got FCIAC on tuesday, so like me for instance will be comin off a 2 mile and then the meet is on thursday so of course everyone wont be 100% but it is still good to go down.. try and get them to go

You my friend are not correct. Douglas has not run a hard 2-mile all season, only a number of miles, 800's, and one 5k. Prepare to be pleasantly (or maybe unpleasantly for you) suprised.

It is absolutely essential that your athletes have met the standards and you can prove it. Questionable or unreported marks may be deemed unacceptable by the seeding committee and you or your athletes may not be informed of rejection or an adjusted seed time until the day of the championship.

Crocks from Staples i an excellent runner, a senior too, and he submitted his real time and got screwed out b/c ur coach fudged about 5 kids times. it is completly wrong wut he did. it is unfair that u guys fudge ur times and screw out kids who actually did better than them.

while on the subject of frosh, i just want to congratulate will ahearn in an awesome double at fciacs tuesday. a 437/207 double in crappy conditions is a great feat for a freshman, and only a few other freshman in CT are running around those times. keep it up! also while on danbury frosh, awesome job to matt terry in the 5k.

Yep, that was Jim. His twin Oliver ran like 55.0 or something. Hes a tad slower, but is progressing at the same rate.
