Apparently she ran 4:49 for 1500 and 2:28 for 800 in junior high.

Amazing.

that's crazy, she doesn't look very runner like.

I disagree. She has been pretty thin at times. I imagine she was a good deal smaller in junior high, also. I don't see any reason why she couldn't have been a runner. But that doesn't necessarily make the story true, of course.

I kinda believe this cause the times make sense and aren't so ludicrous that the story loses credibility.

4:49=like 5:13y and 5:11-5:12 1600m for girls?

So 2:28 and 5:12? Eh, I guess I could see that. 5:12 is a pretty decent time, especially with that butt.

Ya'll remember that thread about the role our butts played in running and evolution? Well there ya go.

It's plausible. Those are very good times for junior high runner, but they are still somewhat believable. I'm wondering if she competed in the NYC area age-group program at that time, because she would've been going up against superstars like Shola Lynch (same age as J-Lo - born in 1969) as well as her younger sister Nnenna (born in 1971) and also the Monicas - Scarborough and Ruiz (born in 1970 and 1971). I was running in those programs at that time (born in 1971) and I do not remember her, but that doesn't mean much.
