What would YOU like to have seen your favorite athlete, celebrity, or message board poster (or anyone) get for Christmas? It can be serious or wink-wink sarcastic (not hurtful) ... you know how they do in the newspapers each year and stuff ...
I'll start:
For Dathan Ritzenhein: A year of injury-free training and racing (gift might not be able to start today, depending on what you've read)
For Jordan Hasay: A career as free from negative speculation as any young prodigy can hope for.
For Foot Locker and Nike: The ability to create a marriage made in heaven.
For Great American: A successful move to the new Hoover venue.
For the Detroit Piston and MSU Spartan basketball teams: For each a new championship trophy.
etc. I know you guys can come up with some good ones. No debating ... just fun wishes, please. (also posted this in playground).

For Mr. Tony Dungy and family, a man who's simply been the epitome of thoughtfulness, down-to-earth intelligence, and class at every level I've seen him play and coach at from his college days here, forward-
were it in my power he'd receive the chance to go back, hang the career up for a year, and do whatever it took to bring '05 in on a happier note.

My gift is to myself and the Seahawks, and that would be the unimaginable ultimate present of a super bowl win (or even appearance), we had the Huskies and now the big one is within grasp.
I’d also ask for Max Strong pro-bowl trip that Shaun didn’t pay for but Santa came early on that one ;)

1) For Sulus and others, an "Achilles Tendon Repair Kit," proven to be safe, effective, legal/ethical, and affordable, of which I am inventor/distributor. Not trying to be wealthy - just want to help others, and earn a comfortable living where I can hang with runners and go to the best track meets around the globe.
2) For my three sons, lots of healthy training/racing/PRs this year. May running continue to bring you much fulfillment and joy, and may your running accomplishments far exceed mine. You can do it!!!
3) And for me, at age 48, to be able to develop the form shown in Sulus' avatar! And to be able to train and race at the level I know I'm capable of. See #1 above.

To Ryan Luce (my old hs coach), the best in your continued recovery from knee surgery, those 4:01 1500 legs have not left you yet.
To Rachel Bryan, somewhere to run if you're still at Tulane, or a good start wherever you are.
To that wonderful institution of higher learning known as California State University Channel Islands, a donor that will give us the money for athletics.

for my home state: an uncorrupt and competent (sp?, irony?) governor to be elected in 2006.
for my university: carrying out any portion of the master plan that does not deal with athletics.
for my sister: a safe birth of her first child (in feb it'll be uncle lasse!)
for my parents: continued good health and fewer expenses on my account (graduating in may!)
for me: the continued happiness and well being of my friends and family. a new glute would be nice right now too!
