The 2005 elite track season is heating up!

Last year Alan Webb ran these outdoor track races...
04-22-2004 Philadelphia Penn Relays 5000 13:46.31 1
04-24-2004 Philadelphia Penn Relays Mile 4:04.42 1
04-30-2004 Fairfax Time Trial 1200 2:49 1
05-08-2004 Harrisonburg James Madison University Last Chance Invitational 800 1:49.36 2
05-08-2004 Harrisonburg James Madison University Last Chance Invitational 1500 3:42.21 2
05-22-2004 Carson Home Depot Invitational 1500 3:35.71 1
05-31-2004 Hengelo Thales FBK Games 1500 3:33.70 4
06-05-2004 Seville Meeting De Sevilla 2004 800 1:46.54 1
06-08-2004 Ostrava Golden Spike 1500 3:32.74 1
06-19-2004 Eugene Prefontaine Classic Mile 3:50.85 1
07-15-2004 Sacramento USATF Olympic Trials - Heat 2 1500 3:47.10 1
07-16-2004 Sacramento USATF Olympic Trials - Semifinal 2 1500 3:39.92 2
07-18-2004 Sacramento USATF Olympic Trials - Final 1500 3:36.13 1
07-30-2004 London Norwich Union London Grand Prix Mile 3:50.73 4
08-02-2004 Malmo MAI-Galan 800 1:46.09 3
08-20-2004 Athens Olympic Games - Heat 2 1500 3:41.25 9

So far this year he's run the Penn Relays 5k(13:30 win) and 800 in sprint medley relay there(1:47 split for 3rd place). I looked at the heat sheets for this weekends James Madison Invite and he's not entered. I read an early preview for the Home Depot(now Adidas) invite on May 22nd and he wasn't mentioned but Bernard Lagat was.

I'm checking out this schedule...
http://www.gbrathletics.com/ia2005.htm

I'm guessing he'd run something similar to this...
5-29 Hengelo 1500
6-1 Milan 800
6-4 Prefontaine Classic Mile
6-23 Usatf 1500 heat
6-25 Usatf 1500 final
7-22 London Mile
7-24 Brasschaat 800
8-6 World Champs 1500 heat
8-8 World Champs 1500 semi
8-10 World Champs 1500 final
8-19 Zurich 1500
8-21 Sheffield 800
8-26 Brussels 1500

I am guessing about this based on what he's run last year and his goals and what the order of meets are. I believe he could run a 1500 a week before Hengelo. Possible choices are Adidas Invite in Los Angeles or meets in Nijmegen or Tønsberg(I don't think he'd run in Belem). Maybe instead of the 7-24 meet he'd run the 7-25 Helsinki 800. It's also possible to run 8-23 Linz meet or 8-28 Rieti meet. It's possible he could extend his season and run in Moscow, Berlin, or World Athletics Final but probably not. I'm curious as to his meets. I wonder when he will announce his next meet. What do you guys think?:eek:!!!

from the schedule you have drawn out there I would scrap the Sheffield 800 and go for the WAF 1500

Great stuff here, I yet don't know when he'll race, although he confirmed Prefontaine Classic.
