so the jump thread is starting to die. we need new and active threads and ideas so i am taking tabortiger's idea and making a wieght lifting max thread for the jumpers. what do all you guys lift?
here's my pretty lame max's:
Bench-180lbs.
parallel squat-340lbs.
hex dead lift-445lbs.
power clean-160lbs.

i'm 5'9"ish and 150lbs. btw

haha my max is a joke... 6' 165-170 range.

bench- 165
everything else- I have no idea because i don't lift. Although I'm gonna start kinda soon.

I'm 5'7 and 135 lbs.

squat - 285
clean - 205
bench - 145

We haven't maxed in a while, but I will in about two weeks. I'll be sure to keep y'all updated :p

Apparently I have ****ty explosion. I squat more than you but can't clean near what you can. I only bench 240, so maybe your upper body is more developed (no, really?) and can assist more in the final motions...

I've never tried to max, so I'm really not sure what my max is, probably not all that much. Do you guys do any other types of lifting? I do a lot of lunges with free weights, kettlebell, and med ball stuff.

bench-220 lbs
clean-210 lbs
squat-6 x 250 lbs (I don't ever max on squat)

5'10" 150

Bench-175
Squat-320+ i've never maxed out
power clean-135

vertical is only about 26" any advice for how to improve on that?

haha thats almost as much as I bench... im 6'4" 170lbs and i'm pretty sure my max is around 150... obviously I don't lift

but can you jump? that is pretty much the only reason to lift. i bet no one will make fun of how skinny and weak that one kid is if he outjumps them all.

my PB in HJ is 6'10". I'm scrawny but I wouldn't say weak, I just bench or squat seldomly, and I clean even less.

i told you guys i would keep y'all updated

I tested squat today
first try was 295 .. went down and straight up w/o any trouble
2nd try was 315 .. heck yes .. a little trouble but still got it up .. didnt feel like a max though, felt like i could've done more ,, but I stopped there cuz there was no more time

anyways three plates is big for me :D and I was pretty happy with it

tmrw we are doing either bench, hang clean, or both.

Just a high jumper from NJ. I haven't jumped 6'10" since last year though.
