Can only be 1 all-time best jump picture 8.90m(29' n change)10/18/1968
took 33 years to go from 8.13m to 8.35m(22cm)
Jesse Owens 8.13m-5/25/1935(Owens had it till 1960! Till Ralph Boston got it.)
Beamon's jump added 55cm in 1 jump
Took another 23 years for 5cm increase - Mike Powell 8.95m 8/30/1991
Unfortunetly Beamon never went over 27' again.
