How many of you guys have actual jump coaches at your high school? I know we don't and most schools in my area don't. My head coach tries to help when he can, but he doesn't know all that much about specific event related issues. Just curious as to how many people have the benefit of a jumps coach at their school.

we dont have a pure jump coach but my coach learned alot from when our last high jumper was here so he is pretty much a jump coach now/ pole vault/ distance/ hurdle coach

our coach is a teacher that use to be really good at HJ. he comes when he can but I duno.....I guess there's a big diffrence between being good at something and being able to coach it. So I guess we do kinda......

We dont really have a jump coach. I was taught how to HJ by the other kids. Now I teach the newbies. My head coach tries to help me when he can but he doesn't really know much. After my freshmen year when I ended up being good he went to a coachs clinic and learned a little bit. Thats just my two cents.

we have a guy who comes every once in a while who jumped 24'6" and 6'11" in college... unfortunately, he only comes a few times a month, but its great when he does.
