I put a dr. scholl's heel pad in the spike to prevent too much pressure on my heels but i figured since these spikes have hard midsole + heel they might be fine to jump in?
thoughts?

Don't jump in those shoes period, whether it's long or triple. The bottom of those shoes don't provide any protection from the impact of jumping. You might get away with it for a little while, but you'll pay for it in the long run.
My senior year in high school, I triple jumped indoors with some sprint spikes. After that meet I had a heel bruise that affected the rest of season. It didn't bother me when I ran, but I never jumped as far as I did that day again. 6 years later, it still bothers me when I do a lot of jumping.
Eastbay has jumping spikes on sale all the time. You can find some nike spikes for 20, 30, 40 bucks. These are shoes that used to cost over $100. The shoe basically never changes, the price you pay for the newer shoes are pretty much because of a new design, but the shoe is the same as before.
