last year was my first year running track and these were my times
800: 3:12 (i only ran once during the beginning of the season)
1600: 7:03 ( i only ran this twice)
3200: 15:03
usually i was put in the 3200 because i like it and i don't complain about it. this year i'm hoping to improve on all my times, but what event do you think is my strongest? oh yea and i'm a girl.

they are all pretty darn close, go with 3200 since alot of people have problems running that

pick what you like the best and work your hardest to improve
i would say though .. go with the thirty two; put in those miles, and just watch the seconds ... minutes ... come off
good luck

Its hard to say. Personally, ive been struggling myself on trying to figure out what event I want to run.
What do you enjoy the best? I mean I hate the 32 because its soooooo long, but I also love it because it seems to be my strongest event

i'd go 3200, america needs more girl distance runners.
i have found that girl distance runners usually "out hot" sprinters and throwers

3200 because it is generally more easily to improve.

Just go with the 32. It'll make you more versatile.

I agree with the part about the 3200 though. You will see much bigger and better improvement over that distance, and it will come a lot sooner. With all three races, a lot of it is just experience with the distance, and having a good strong base of miles in.

Wouldn't the shorter events, 800 in this case, make one more versatile? It's always easier to move up, thus giving you versatility in terms of choosing events and more relays involve shorter races, thus giving you more versatility on relay teams.

No,if she did the 32, it would be "easy" to move down, but moving up is hard.
Like yesterday, I ran the 3200, 800, 200 and 4x4. theres no way in hell that any sprinter could have won the 32, come back third in the 800, placed 7th of 28 in the 200 and was in the 2nd place 4x4 team

Oh, I see what you mean. I was interpreting differently. But in that case, I'd still go with the 800 because if you train like a mid-distance guy you could move up to the mile, move down the the 400, 4x4, or 200 if you wanted.
