My dad pole vaulted his freshman year of high school. He had no instruction at all, and broke his arm pretty quickly, ending his illustrious track carreer.

My uncle HJ'ed and vaulted, but my parents never jumped. My mom sprinted, and my dad threw jav.

Neither of my parents did track, my dad was a pretty good baseball athlete, he played for a double a team in my city and made the all star team.

my grandpa was a college hurdler, mom made it to state freshmen year in sprints and quit soph year cause she hated track, dad did other sports...no jumpers though. our family flocks more towards hockey rather than jumping.
