That's gonna be hard to win considering the number one seed is seeded at 3:20 (anyone know if its legit or BS?). Seems legit if you look at the 400 seed list, one of DeWitt's 4x4 runners is seeded at 48.18!

You obviously haven't heard of Myles Bradley who has jumped 48 feet this year

You should be concerned with the team seeded at #2 also. . .their anchor guy is a 1:51.xx 800m runner.

i was going strictly by the numbers in that post

didnt want to mix opinion and fact - introducing doubt into my post.

personally i agree with you, miles bradley over carpenter
remi ray over carpenter

polgar ignores amirault during the race, but they end up kicking together, polgar edges ahead just slightly, just under 4:20

3 prs by the 3 in the 800 would be nice to see as well, i think that can be done

im kinda aiming at MA in theses posts.. someone else can have the other states

Agreed, I don't see anyone this year beating Myles in anything.
I want to pick Remi Ray to win, but I've never seen the guy seeded first run. My dark horse is Carecha Moore after his sick 600s indoors, he's about ready to bust out some fast quarter mile times.

I think me and evan are both going to do state coaches instead. I think I'm doing the 800 and he's in the mile, but yeah hopefully some pr's. My only regret about missing Hartford is that I'd love to see Chris and Dave in that mile.

Not to start up a big argument again, but refresh my memory: legal, illegal, or arbitrary?

Event 27 Men 1 Mile Run

8 Polgar, David Newton North 4:18.90
10 Amirault, Mark Xaverian Bro 4:19.00

true

but think of the way that this mile was organized.
it was pushed by barnicle, to get a fast heat together (btw, is 6 under 4:10 still a goal?)
obviously the final say was still left to the meet organizers, but maybe barnicle had a say in who would be accepted (even with slightly false times).

so..
arbitrary in this case, but generally id be on the illegal side.

A lot of times for a lot of the big meets are usually bull****; even take the class meets in Massachusetts or the State Coaches Invite in the winter. Everything sorts itself out, but that is my biggest pet peeve ever; kid's should not be allowed in with bogus seeds.

Careca Moore is no dark horse btw. He went 1:21 at the armory early in the indoor season, remi was the dark horse. I think hes too small for the 400, the 600 should be where he stops, he should be concentrating on the 800 this year. Anyway, I hate to spoil all the fun, but Remi wont be running the 4 at hartford public. Don't bother to ask why cus I'm not telling. Sorry! :)

You're half right. The class meets required certified performances, but the invitational is rife with bs seeds. It's too bad because some kids get kept out of the heat, or meet (Elite vs Open), that they deserve to be in. But some coaches are selfish.

I don't see Gagnon's name.

How many guys will run in the fast heat of the mile?

Will he be running in either relay?

As for Gagnon, here is the updated performance list which he is on:

Oh yeah, when I said "hes to small," I meant careca is too small for the 400, not Remi. Remi will not be running at Hartford Public, you may see him running 12x200 meter intervals on the track though.
