I was just wondering who you thought would win the 5a distance races at state this year.
I know the state champion from last year micheal Armon is still out and I heard that Taylor farnsworth might be out with a herniated disc. so tell me who you think will win the 1600 800 and the 3200. and give a prediction of how fast people will go.
I also wanna know girls predictions.

I guess i better give my predictions eh?
well for the guys I will only predict one race.... the 800
John Merring - 1:53
for the girls this is tough
800: it will be a good race but dana morgan will win. I have no clue what she will run.
1600: this year we will see a girl under 5:00 most likely 2or 3 girls but i think that it will be a close race. once again I am partial to dana Morgan
3200: o boy what a race. I cant say too close to call

THIS would not be Boise's Bolinder would it?
I would assume you have a pretty good shot in the 16 and 32 with the recent injuries.

Yup its me. who is this? thanks for sayin I have I shot. But I felt that even before the injuries I had a good shot it. i feel I am stronger than ever and I am more consistent than i have been in past years. It is also nice to have people to run with for once

Of course John Mering is going to win the 800....no one else in the state can run a 1:56 and he did that all by himself at a duel meet! im thinkin Nick Bolinder in the 3200-9:20 and Nick Bolinder in the 1600-4:23, John Mering in the 800- 1:53, in the Girls, 1600-4:49 and 800-2:17 belong to Dana Morgan and the 3200 is gonna be between Dana Morgan and Karleigh Gempler-11:00.........thats what i think! what up?

Yes John is amazing. I cant wait to see the race between Dana and Karleigh. its gonna be a good one

Bollinder, what are your times these past couple weeks? I've seen Huey's and Bosch's and im not to impressed, I almost beat them in the 800 and 1600. I think they are your competition seeing as how armon/farnsworth are out

I ran a 940 3200 meter trot. seriously that was the esiest sub 10 I have ran in my life. by myself.
well in indoor I ran a 426 but so far in outdoor I have ran the 1600 twice and they both sucked. the better one was 437
then in the 800. I was bymyself in the wind 200
not trying to make excuses but this wind was killer in all the meets. but I am happy. I am suposed to run at stanford this weekend but things are not lookin good on that subject. kinda stupid but yea I am happy with how things are lokin for this season. it is unfortunate about Mike and taylor but the good news is taylor should be back for xc. mike on the other hand that is just a horrible story.
who is this by the way?
Trackorbit
03-27-2006, 10:12 PM
With those times i'd put my money on you, I think that you stand the best shot of taking it.
oh and im Chaz Anestos, Taylors teammate, maybe you saw me get last at state in the mile last year lol ;)

o well I didnt to good either at state last year. dont worry the bad races keep things interesting. its too bad about taylor. but at least he will be back unlike mike

hey guys, actually i talked to mike through myspace a couple days ago and he's lookin good! i think he'll be back for xc next year and a very small chance at the end of this track season...he's up to 30mpw but he still has to wear a ankle brace thing...
I think bolinder will take the 16 and 32 if he runs smart... I'm not sure about bolinders kick but he might have some contenders still with him towards the end of the race. don't count out bosch and huey...those guys seem to peak well at the end of the season. and i still wouldnt completely count out armon..that guy has a lot of talent. I'm sure there are also a couple underdogs that will make a big impact at state this year. LET'S HOPE EVERYONE RUNS WITH GUTS!!!

4a will also have some sweet races... Chio Lopez and Bennet Grimes from Century (SE) are really putting a lot of miles in...AND LOOKING GREAT!! i see them both out running all the time..and when it comes time to run fast, i think they will both put some of the fastest times down in idaho this year.

yeah this year's gonna kick ass! while i wont predict the individual winners i think boise's looking strong. in the boys, Bolinder's 9:40 and 4:26 along with mering's 4:20 mile at stanford (4:18 1600) and 1:56 promise good times at state and will be hard to beat. The girls race should be more interesting as boise has a sub-5 miler in dana morgan and borah has a sub 11 2 miler with karleigh gempler.
boys 800 will be won in 1:53, maybe faster
the 1600- if it's time for idaho girls to go sub-5, its time for idaho guys to go . . . . . . . SUB 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3200-9:20.69
girls 800- 2:08
1600-4:57
3200- 10:39

the boys 1600 will be under 420
the 3200 MIGHT be under 920 but will probably be a lil slower and end up being a tactical race.

True...Bosch and Huey do usually pick it up towards the end of the season which is why i wouldnt count them out....not tryin to be a dick but from their PRs now and their PRs as freshman neither of them have improved much in the mile, im almost sure they both ran around 4:30 freshman year and they are now around 4:27-4:29, i dunno why this is....they have success in the 3200 and XC with improving greatly.
Dana Morgan will win the 3200 state title....she can push herself to whoever she is running against which is why i feel she will sweep the distance events this year. And also Dana Morgan is the most Hardcore gangsta on the face of this earth!

Tru dat! Dana is gonna win the 3200 cuz she won it last year, and i guess she has the mile and 800 now. In the boys i think Bryant Denson also has a shot as he is coming back from a stress fracture and will just get better. However boys titles this year will not be won by any of the names we already know. it will be won by Peter Esh, boise high's secret weapon. This kid is amazing and will impress everyone when he wins it big.

lol, and we ALL know the first 200m matters most...what was his final time? what grade? What do you think is a resonable pr for this kid by the end of the year?
and i believe the borah kids fastest times this year are still in the 440's...but you kids in the boise area would know best...correct me if i'm wrong.

I wouldnt be soo sure... Alex Litzinger is improving greatly...who knows what she will be capable of by the end of the year..she is also only a freshman! Brady Hutchinsson will also play a strong role in final outcome.

Ur right taylor their times are only 4:40 this year but i mean overall PRs they've only improved by just a few seconds while the rest of the top runners are improving every year by many seconds or in Royce Hylands case....49 seconds!! he's hella gangsta though!
Whats the news with ur injury Taylor? when u gonna be back?

04-04-2006, 01:29 AM
and that Peter Esh kid is AMAZING btw, we all do need to watch out for him! his PR is around a 5:45 which is totally one of the faster times....for the girls this year that is! and im sure he'll make it to about 5:44 if he runs the first 200 smarter and not go out in a 30! some kids are just amazing!:D

Hey xc runner, was just looking at your sig and whats mering's fastest 800 this year? I think i saw he ran a 1:56.7 or 8 or something, is that his fastest so far? for the begining of the year thats pretty fast, considering he didn't have anyone to close to him that race
XC_runner69
04-04-2006, 07:53 PM
yea he ran a 1:56 at a duel meet...i came in second a ways behind him and was never close to him in that race...hes easily capable of a 1:53 this year.

wow, was it john that ran 420 full mile at stanford? cuz it said it was bryant denson and i thought someone said earlier it was john merrill.... and NIck bolinder was at 429 but i thot he didnt get to go...who was that?
great job to everyone at boise running super fast down in CA!! i wish our school had money....or at least i wish pocatello had an economy that we could get good fund raising from... :(
My injury...i'm not sure if you'd call it an injury. I did have a slightly herniated disk in my back but i later learned that my problem was this acne medicine im on called acutane. my back isnt bothering me at all anymore. the acutane hurts my joints and muscles a bit so i havent been able to run much at all lately...but i'm keepin it real in the pool and on the bike  my medication will end in a little over a month and it might take a lil longer to get it all out of my system...but hopefully i can be there at state.
XC_runner69
04-05-2006, 02:04 AM
yea im on acutane also...im on my second 5 months right now and it hasnt bothered me yet but the doc said it could. John Mering was the one that ran a 4:20 and me ( Bryant Denson ) ran the 4:29. We had an issue with our times and numbers when we got there and i decided to let John run as me in the fast heat since he's a senior. I was seeded last in the fast heat but john did good. I ran as Nick Bolinder since he wasnt there, and i was seeded 6th in the 2nd heat. hopefully you'll be back soon and just stay on the bike and pool, that'll help out alot!

Lucky! i wish it didn't affect me...im not sure if my acne will be all better by the end of the 5 months...but i'm PRETTY DANG SURE if they wanted to do a 2nd 5 months, i would just say "screw it" and run.
