I was wondering if some of you more experienced guys can help me out here. I am running the 100M in my local freshman championships and I am aspiring to be top 6 at the meet. Does anyone have any tips to fine tune my 100 and get me faster?
Currently one thing I have realized is that at the end of the race, like last 20M I will start to arch my back and run like a soldier. Is that bad? It seems like it tightens me up.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

pump your arms quick, relax your face and keep everything loose, if you tighten up anywhere your whole body slows down...

In which position do you recommend by body be in? Is it better to lean foward more or stand straighter more?

keep looking straight ahead, don't put your head up or anything, and just pump your arms, keep good form.

get out hard, stay low through your drive phase, come out of it gradually, dont pop up. Coming out of your drive phase focus on getting your knees up and attacking, than once you are running keep the shoulders loose, arms at 90 degrees and jaw loose. Bringing it home, focus on staying loose and keeping your arms, dont tighten up it will just slow you down. Hopefully your training does the rest and you can PR!

Thanks for the help guys. Just to let you know, I ****ed up. I was placed in the first heat with two sub 12 guys, and I was too worried about them being fast that I didnt run the race. I came in third in my heat.
