Anyone ever try it? I can do it between the first and second hurdle sometimes, but I lose so much momentum it's not really practicable...just fun.
um, the top hurdler on our team (before he stopped hurdling, hamstring issues) could 2 step effectivly.

i bet the hamstring injury is related to two stepping

Um, no it was hurdling in general. He's always had hamstring pain.

there is no such thing as being able to 2 step effectively

yeah.. where you gettin the 2-stepping from??? Elite world-class hurdlers can't (they probably could if they bounded it) do that, they 3-step.

maybe if you dont count your jump stride as a step then yes, u were indeed two-stepping

actualy I tried 2-stepping today during practice
I found that I can 2-step effectively for 4 out of the ten hurdles
just 2-stepping four hurdles lowered my time by one full second!
I can't wait until I master this technique and use it in competition ..
NON, here I come

unless u alternated ur lead leg on each hurdle, there is no way you can 2 step, it probably looks like ur jumping from foot to foot instead of running. try and get some video to show us, that might help.

i think its honestly the next step in hurdling. Xiang the chinese hurdler with the record doesnt think he can push it much faster. The physics behind hurdling theorize that no one can push it much faster due to the human design etc. etc. so i think taller guys are going to get into hurdling and try to "2 step" the hurdles and learn to switch feet effectively. it would aslo benefit building ones body more symmetrically for a more balanced athlete. just some thoughts.

he's young, I'm sure he can still knock off a few hundredths ;)
as for your "physics", these theories wouldn't happen to be from the same people that 'theorized' that a person who broke four minutes in the mile would die? .. :)
