Elite 3000m - Chantelle Dron

ANyone have an update on her? She ran a blazing mile indoors then havne't heard much since...injured? training? If she's been healthy and training we might be able to expect one of hte nations top times from her.

Also noticed Livingston, Stacey-Ann. Wonder what kind of shape she's in....isn't she running for a college now?

I might do the Bay State Games (http://www.baystategames.org/trackfield.asp), but I'm not sure. I'll probably do at least one open track meet.

Ya think? I'd go so far as to say that if she runs really fast -- like faster than most of the other runners in the country -- we'll see one of the top times in the nation. (Only one "if" and no "mights".)

Now you see...my comment made sense...yours is just plain stupid...

Also notice Joel Legare in the 800...there's a fast one for you...has he raced outdoors? He ran an indoor pr of 148.12 this year at reggie which isn't exactly the fastest 800 track...and 221.35 1k pr....but hasn't raced outdoors...injured? seems like a little late to open your season if you were just training. His pr is 147.98 from last year.

...and 221.35 1k pr...

1 hour later he ran a 1:50 800.

2 Sam Moorhead Unattached 1:54.74

Is this the Moorehead that is going to Trinity College in Hartford? This may be off the topic of this thread, but it seems that Trinity is getting a pretty good recruiting class this year.

Moorehead
Hunter Norte' CT (1:59.x, 4:22, 9:37 and 9:41 SC, 17th at NE XC)
Matt Fuentes CT (4:24/9:39 double at CT class meets)
The Harris twins CT
...and another distance runner I can't think of right now.

I know it not Arkansas caliber, but not bad for a small college in NEw England with very tough academic standards.

it was an unbelieveable move made my KT, one that made me look twice, within a second there was 10 yards between him and barny.. i was right on the beginning of the back stretch and when Barnicle came around that last turn he just blew by him.. the best race i have ever seen, esp the 300 yard kick.. one that i will watch over and over

You make it sound like Kevin was ahead of Chris for the first 1400 meters. In fact, after the first lap Kevin was like in 13th place out of 15, then after 2 laps he was about in 7th place then after three laps he was in 3rd place. It was then that he madr a move that put him in from of Chris for the first time at about 250 meters remaining mark. He held that lead until about 70 meters remaining. For Kevin this race was a comeback race from missing 3 - 4 weeks with a stress fracture. It was about trying to run well..., which I'd say he accomplished that goal.
