Hey i'm going to Boulder to train for next cross country, can someone help me with suggestions on trails and best runs and stuff.

Yeah pretty much anywhere near the city is good (ever read Running With the Buffaloes?)...
We had regionals on the CU course one year and it would be a great place to do some runs...all dirt with a few hills.
Stay off Pearl Street with al the wackos though

I am thinking of taking some high school kids out to Boulder this summer from Kansas City. I have never been to Bouler- are there mountain trails, trails with great views of the mountains, etc?

Both. There are some nice trails (Cement) in and along the river. But there are some really nice trails up in the hills. Boulder is nestled right next to the mountains. Like the earlier suggestion, check out Running with the Buffaloes
