What are some of the highly anticipated match-ups that we can expect this weekend?
Of course there is the McCombs v. Shaq battle in the 200m and 400m...but both have to watch out for Luckenheimer in the 400m!
In the girls sprints you have Ogechi Nwaneri v. LaShonda Carter in the 100m and Ogechi v. Nia Ali in the 200m in Group II. Then you have frosh Audrey Wilson v. Georgina Nehmbard in the 100m and Audrey v. Georgina v. Avionne v. Tiffany Grant v. Shavon Greaves in the 200m...wow that is loaded! If Krystal Cantey is healthy, we may see her battle Symone O'Connor in the 400m!!! We may see a low 54 possibly high 53 on that one...both are capable of it!
I'd like to see Danielle Tauro v. Asia Washington in the 800m!
The long jump battle between national champ Celeste Holder and LaShonda Carter will be a classic!

I put a few of these up in my last couple blog entries (you can click on the signature). You will definitely see a hot race in that Tauro vs. Washington battle. It would be very nice to see Asia get below 2:10 (I already know Danielle will).
One of my favorites up in South Plainfield and one you didn't mention, is going to be Higginson vs. Tomlin in the 1,600. Completely different styles, but similar results. They both seem to be the kind of athletic girls that would excel in almost any sport...we're lucky to have them in track.

Girls Group 4 1600...Tauro-Smith...Ennis-Neutts...tag-team sort of thing perhaps? Marino in there as well. 3200 Saturday should be good, as well.
Boys Group 3 1600- Forys and the deep sectional from up north with Salvatore, Mo Hills, etc. Plenty of people under 4:20
Boys Group 4 1600- Perella and the Ridgewood duo, not to forget about Ryan DiOrio, coming back quickly from early injury, improving every week, now under 4:20.
Boys Non-Public B 3200- No really...Hanko leads a group with many in the low-mid 4:20's...Naranjo, the unheralded Nick Miehe from DePaul (4:23 and 9:40 to win Passaic County ahead of the aforementioned Salvatore), Somerset County Champ Scavone.

Group 3 TJ should be excellent! 3 guys over 46 and some *I wonder who?* are right behind. Should have 2 or 3 placers at MOC.
EDIT: HJ should be pretty good too.

No, I think it is 6 wildcards total - including 4 public groups and 2 parochials. Max of 42 people per event at MOC (not counting potential 6th place ties at groups). The format you mentioned is for indoors.

Nope.
3. TO ADVANCE TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
a. PUBLIC AND NON-PUBLIC SCHOOLS - ALL EVENTS
Contestants must qualify in the State Group Championships by placing in one of the first six (6) places in any event in their Group. All ties for Sixth (6th) Place will advance.
b. Six highest performances in each event (all ties will be broken using NFHS rules) will be advanced, taken from non-medal winners from all six groups (Public 1, 2, 3, and 4, Non-Public A and B) combined
NOTE: EXCEPT POLE VAULT – Due to the limited time available to conduct this event on
Wednesday night, only the TOP Eighteen (18) medal winners will advance. No wild
Cards will be selected.

Nope.

So they've addressed the pole vault problem at the MOC but it'll no doubt be the last thing going on both Friday and Saturday at South Plainfield.
EHT has done a great job of putting in an auxiliary pole vault runway and pit so that it can handle the event, why hasn't South Plainfield been forced to do the same?

I didn't say no 1600 for Andrew (assuming you mean Hanko here). If I had to guess, I'd say he would run the 1600...he won last year. Not sure about the other guys and whether they'll double, other than that Coate guy that TdMdXc08 mentions.
