im thinkin about that class AA boys preview and im a little disappointed that Maine South didnt get any love from IPTT. in the 400 we got Gilby Lifton, 5th(?) at IPTT indoor meet. he was also right on sean muldoon in conference this year. as for the shot put tony colletti threw 53-54ish, which sounded like it was good enough to get on your list. ALSO jumper david spencer should be all-state in the high and triple jumps. and then we have our ace pole vaulter matt annes(14'). I was just kinda disappointed that Maine South wasnt mentioned at all in the preview. did u not kno about us/them? Id love to hear your reasoning.

2 things i noticed:
-Isn't it the neuqua 400 runners name Prince? In all other results I've seen with him it's had his name as Prince. Middle name or something?
-It said that York returned everyone from their 2nd in state team from last year. York was 5th last year.

Thought it was a great preview though

GBS had two sophomores go 51.xx and 52.xx last saturday---and they're twins. Last name's Mathies. I don't know the exact times, but they're definately worth a mention.

Bush seemed to mention guys that have already dropped good times/marks in the big meets. Also, only 3 key guys were really mentioned per event, so 5th place doesn't exactly make that cut.

4/22-Friday- Wheaton Warrenville ABC Meet. Waubonsie, W North, Prospect, WWS, Naperville North are a few. I will look for the total list of teams or one of the Wheaton guys can provide the list. Sprints-Harris. 800-Durrell. Some good 1600, 3200 races also

evanston's 4x8 will be nowhere near those top teams. their team is depleated this year, and it's aggrivating to see them get so many props for relays, namely the AA preview giving them #1 in the 4x2 and 4x4, they have muldoon, and a hurdler, and thats about it

That meet really does not pull big 4X8's. The format spreads guys out. I guess there will be some solid 4X8's. The following week will be the big 4X8 weekend with the Prospect Invite on 4/29 and Palatine Invite on 4/30

York, Prospect, and Lyons should pull out all stops on 4/29 provided all teams are healthy. York set the national outdoor record there in 2000. Sage ran a 50, 60 split on the anchor

yes, the WN Best 4 and WWS Red Grange Invite never pull any good 4x8s. WN will do very well in the 800 though, they have 3 at 2:00 or faster. They went 8:12 at GW this weekend, took it pretty easy and still won by 3 or 4 seconds. There should be some incredible battles in the B and C slots of the 1600 and 3200, because those are the kids that have the most to prove and really make the difference in the team scoring in this type of format. Not to mention the fact that the teams there will just be DEEP overall.

It was the Bloomington High Invite. Elmore was 2:15 followed by Verplank from Bloomington in 2:16, then Klaus from Eureka in 2:17 along with Nelson from Normal Community in 2:17. Then Elmore and Klaus came back in the 1600 just a few minutes later and Elmore held off Klaus in the stretch 5:09 to 5:10. Klaus could challenge Bastert in class A.

Maybe you should think of how much time it would take to compile all of the best times in state from 3 weeks worth of results....If you have the time to do it, than you can check all of the Meet Results on IPTT that are provided and make your own list. You may want to consider that many of the results are immediately faxed to them after the meet. If these were Sectional Results, you'd have a valid point, but since they're not, why don't you just chill out and wait a few days so the IPTT crew can sort everything out.

Good luck to all athletes this weekend.

Great lists, except that some of the schools and years are wrong for a few of the kids (Farina is a junior, MacTaggart goes to Glenbard South). Great job though and thank you for posting those, they are really a great resource.
