I know it goes against the purpose of the Honor Roll but is it a common practice by coaches to not nominate athletes to make the honor roll because the coach wants the athlete to not be well known by the competition. The reason, I am asking because I know of a case where a runner put up a qualifying time in their first meet. (The individual also had two other relays splits would have easily made been a qualifying time to if it was in an open event.) The individual won't be nominated to the Honor Roll because the coach wants to hide the individual's stats from the competition. I was just wondering if this was common.

Typically the performances that are on the honor roll come directly from meet results that are submitted to Wisconsin Track and Field. If the results are done by a timing company, the company usually will send in the results themselves. If the times are done manually and the results are only on paper (old school way of doing results), then it would be up to the coach to submit the performances. Some coaches really don't ever look at the honor roll and therefore see no reason to submit the times.
Of course, if you have a copy of the results you could send in the performance yourself. It doesn't have to be a coach.
Also, I'm not sure if you are aware, but Relay splits do not count for the honor roll. Only open times can be submitted.

Did anyone else notice that there are a bunch of people on the honor roll twice, with two different times? I'm sure this will get fixed, but it's just annoying for now to those of us who got booted off because of it ;)

Hahah yeah, I noticed that. I'm on there twice. Once as "Keth Behrman" and again as "Keith Behrman" in the 800M. My name got entered wrong at TFA on the heat sheets.

if anyone notices dups please email us at info@wisconsintrackandfield.com. It is difficult with the volume of inputs to catch all of these.
