Section 3-AAA Final Results; RHS over BHS

Interesting development in the state team race for the AAA girls. Ten million time defending champion Brentwood High actually got upended in their own section, 141-121 to homestanding Rossview. Can Rossview beat them again next weekend and take the AAA crown? Seems possible to me. I'm not sure there is anybody else with the depth to win the whole thing, especially considering that Brentwood and Rossview athletes will go 1-2 in the state pentathlon Monday.

Well, we got 3 relays in ourselves tonight, so I'll get to see some folks in Memphis this year after all.

If I am not mistaken, BHS lost section last year too. Its not about who wins the section meet. Someone can win the section with a lot of 3-5. Its all about 1-2.
BHS got 11 people out
Rossview got 10 people out

Itll be a showdown that for sure.

Actually last year, Brentwood beat second place Pearl Cohn 174 to 100 at sections, with Rossview at 90. I've still got last year's sectional on our website if anyone wants to go down memory lane.
But still your point is valid, there have certainly been teams to lose the sectional and then win the state. This could certainly be one of those times. Lauren and Lynette could account for 40+ points for each of their teams, and then the real jockeying begins.

It looks like those girls will negate eachother because the are all basically in different events which of course just makes it all the more interesting!

I've done my homework, and here's my prediction...BHS is going to build a huge lead on the field after the field events and up to the 4x8, when Rossview is going to dominate the 2nd half of the running events but still come up about 20 points short. Brentwood wins, again. I predict 80 to 62.
