Jimmie Pacifico 69'3"

I guess he threw this in a 4 throw meet...got the info from Walter Henning...he still has a year to go too. I'm wondering what this will do now for some shot battles next year at nationals. Pacifico v. Stephen makes me excited just thinking about it. I still say Stephen will take him though.

DO WHAT!!!! I watched him throw when I was like 12 years old and he was like 14 at a meet in Nebraska.

Wow he may be lookin at mid 70s by next summer. I know the guy is ridiculously strong but he must have some really polished technique to pull off that kind of throw. Is he spinner or glider btw?

He's a spinner. Probably not over 5'8" if I remember correctly. He talked to my coach when I was throwing at NIN and said he's worked with Adam Nelson and his form really reflects it. He's also incredibly strong, 550 bench and 810 squat is what I've heard. His dad was a notable steroid user, so I think that stigma will always hang over his head. His cousin went to my high school, left to live near Jimmie's dad, and took steroids out there, but swears up and down that Jimmie never has. I honestly can't see him throwing that much farther next year because of size limitations, and the inability to gain much more strength.

QFT, Who knows he may not even break 70, personally I think he will (69'3'' is still massive but I think he can go further). Yeah I remember reading an article about his dad being an avid steroid user. Not saying Jimmie does, but like you said the suspicions are still around him (and thats too bad some people have to think that) because of that. I'm guessing he'll throw in college?

Was it just me or according to that link did he have 2 more years of junior high AFTER his 7th grade throws were listed?

Eh, I think the years just start to overlap...it starts to get confusing there once it hits the junior high area.

he probably got held back a grade. i got held back in eigth grade for sports so i could be older and more mature. a lot of kids do that.

I got held back in the 1st grade lol. Anyways, that throw, I couldn't belive it. I was throwing 67-70' in practice, i just didn't think it would come so soon. Benjamin hit a 4-5' PR from the regular season up until state. I finally hit my 4' PR. Through the whole season, I would have some fouls around 66'....now I know how to control my speed and balance. I honestly think I'll hit 70' or over next season, as well as Benjamin.

About what Andy Keller said about my lifts, I don't bench 550....its 470 and my squat is 830. About the other things, psh, I don't cheat.

I'm about 5'9 235.....wantin 2 get up 2 about 240 by next season.....I got powerlifting now up until then.

Sorry about that. Took the numbers from another throws forum. They said they thought the 550 was with a bench shirt in a comp, guess they didn't know what they were talking about.
