ok here is the problem with my hamstring im really not sure what to do with. my season coming at light speed and being injured is not what im really plan on doing very long i need some fast heeling time. here is how it started, so after my run which was basically a tempo run about 45minutes i felt fine and did not streach i talked with my team mates about 15minutes or so than drove home about 25minute drive when i got there i decided to get the mail this is when it started in my attempt to not get hit by a car i common instinct ran across the road (and from my run i was stiff ) to not get run over flat and then for some reason my one hamstring felt soar it did not pop thou this all happened two days ago. is my season lost now is all hope gone. is there any cross-training i can do any advice would help thanks.

Try stretching it a lot and applying ice to it...also before a run take a nice warm shower to loosen up your muscles in your legs then after practice just ice it if it's still sore.

Is it a small area or is it the whole back of your thigh?

ice typically is good for the first 24 t0 48 hours.
then apply heat along with deep tissue massage - - gentle at first - - 20min for starters and work from the knee to the hip - - - work both legs
after about a week start with isometric stretching of the area.
within two weeks should be fine.
good luck and good times
