Posted in spikes forum, but the majority of them are distance runners. so...

Wondering what the best spike is for the 110 hurdles/300 hurdles/ and TJ for a rainy and cold day?? I was originally gonna use x-mas trees, but now with the predicted forecast as crappy, I was thinking of using pyramids or needles.

What do you think?

i dont think it really matters. i use x-mas tree spikes, but that just me. and they are a little lighter.

You won't find many tracks that allow needle spikes. This is because they tear up the track. Most cross country courses that aren't on really nice golf courses will let you use long needle spikes though. I always use christmas tree spikes for track.

If you want to be safe and legal just go with either 5/8's or 1/4's pyramids (what i like) or if you want lighter but break easier go with the x mas trees
