This camp is usually towards the end of July and it starts on a Sunday and ends on a Thursday. It is great for any type of runner/thrower/jumper. There are 2-3 workouts a day, usually the toughest one being in the morning. "Dr. Dan", a podiatrist that helps out the Bucknell team, holds lectures every day in which he informs athletes about injury prevention, shoes, nutrition, stretching, and much more. I know you're thinking, "lectures?!", but really they are a lot of fun. He's a very funny guy with lots of interesting stories to tell. You will also get to talk to some of the current runners at Bucknell and ask them about college life, running, and anything else on your mind.

If you are an XC runner, two of the days you take a bus to run at different places. The first place is great. It's on a mountain and you will run one of the hilliest runs of your life. Afterwards, you walk to an ice-cold lake and put your legs in it to help get the soreness out. The other place is nice also. It has great scenery because of the lake and all the trees and flowers. Also, the run is a lot easier because it's pretty flat.

The last day of camp you can either go on a 6-mile run or participate in the track meet. All of the events are weird distances because the meet is just for fun. (For example, the longest event is a 2400m, not your standard 1600m or 3200m.) Of course the field events are all the normal ones because you can't really change those.

Even though there isn't much free time, there's enough to go in the pool for a little while in the evening or go out for ice cream. Which brings me to another point. You get to eat ALL YOU WANT at the cafeteria. There is so much food you can't possibly try everything at one sitting. It's good too. Some of my teammates just go for the food!

Also, don't forget to bring some nice clothes! Club Bison is the last night, which is a dance for everyone at the camp. It's a little corny, but it's still a lot of fun. The coaches get really into it.

Anyway...if you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them. :D
