If you were running one of the following races, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, and had the following shoes, jasari plus, miler, vents, which pair would you wear?
400 jasari plus
800 vents
1600 miler
3200 vents

Miler for everything. I might consider the Vents for the 3200.

I agree..
Im not trying to steal the thread or anything but what do you think is best for the 3200. eldoret II, vents (also vent+), or orig. jasari. I am thinking the jasari, i have yet to race in them, i wanna save them bigger meets. IMO the jasaris look the collest, but are they the best choce for the 3200?

Before I say this, I know that this has been said on these forums and the old ones from the very beginning. It really depends on your running style. From my understanding the Jasari's were the best shoe ever (I came into the sport a few years too late to nab myself a pair) for just about every distance. But the vents and eldoret II's have a full length plate, so if that is more comfertable then go with either of those, both great spikes. try to save the Jasaris for the bigger meets as you said, they are a great shoe and you would want to get as many of your larger races in with them, not just small dual meets against your pereaneal last place in the conferance team.

Obviously you've never run in Vents.

400 - miler/jasari plus/vents
800- miler/jasari plus/vents
1600- jasari plus/miler/vents
3200- Vents/jasari plus/miler
That's the order in which I would use them for those events.

This comes up every thread I post on now - Bush did not win the first election, by popular vote or electoral college. Gore did. The second election was "won" by the electoral votes from Ohio and Florida, which utilized "Riebold" brand voting machines. Riebold, a highly conservative Republican, had promised Bush victory in Ohio. Watch Fahrenheit 911 for info on the first election, there is plenty on the web about the second. And, for the record, Michael Moore still sucks, despite the fact that he makes good movies. I simply don't like fat people.

I haven't but just as a personal thing I have always liked to wear more agressive spikes, but vents I would want for something like a 10000 where you have to have the superior comfert.
I'm as anti-Bush as they come, but let's be reasonable now. The real results of the first election could very well have put Gore in office, but you're just gettting ridiculous with the second election. Bush won fair and square in the second election, and Kerry conceded before it was an issue.

Bush didn't win the popular vote in the 2000 election, but I'm pretty sure he won the electoral vote. What am I missing here?

Bush did not win the popular vote in the 2000 election. If the recount would have been finished in Florida then Gore would have won. However, Bush's buddies in the Supreme Court ruled him the winner. In the last election he won outright.

Um, reread my post...?
EDIT: Also, while I'm not a big Bush fan myself, I always wonder about the misinformation people throw around. What evidence is there that Gore would have won if the recount would have been finished in Florida?

It was on CNN not that long ago. I'll try to find a link or article about it.

Just googled it, and this was the first thing I found.
"After reviewing more than 64,000 ballots in all 67 of Florida's counties, USA Today, the Miami Herald and its parent company, Knight Ridder, said that Bush's 537-vote margin of victory over Democrat Al Gore would have increased to 1,665 votes under the counting standards advocated by Gore."

Hmmmm, could be biased, but that looks fairly official. Anyone have anything else?

I only skimmed the article, but what evidence does that editorial give..? From what I got out of it, he spends a lot of his time saying that even if Bush had won the recount, it's a moot point because the Supreme Court shouldn't have halted the recount and it's impossible to say exactly how the recount would have been handled. Then, towards the end he states that if things were done a certain way, Gore "probably would have won Florida by a hundred votes or so." Forgive me if this makes me sound naive, but that didn't inspire too much confidence in me. He probably based that editorial off something though; anyone have any idea what?
