STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State’s men’s track and cross country team added more young talent to its roster with the signing of Jerhoemee Murray, of Hillsboro, Ore., and Clay Mayes, of Claremore, Okla.
The two runners will bring a great deal of talent to a young Cowboy team that won the NCAA Midwest Regional in cross country and finished the season ranked eighth in the nation.


Mayes, a senior at Claremore Sequoyah High School, finished second in this year’s Class 3A State Cross Country Meet. At this year’s Class 4A State Track Meet, he garnered first-place honors in the 3,200-meter run and third-place honors in the 1,600-meter run.

“Clay is one of the top high school prospects in the state,” said Smith. “He is also a great student and a great kid. We are looking forward to him contributing to this team in the next few years.”

don't forget 6th place and 9th place finishes in the 5k and 3000m steeple at NON.

HAHA I TOLD YOU I SUCK AT STEEPLE... OH AND THAT ARTICLE WAS BEFORE MY NON RACE IS WHY THAT ISNT INCLUDED.

I'm gonna try it next season, mainly so I can get an actual "time" to go to the Texas Relays................I can't make it in the 16 or 32, so I'll do the next best thing

steeple looks fun, i wanna do it.
WELL THE 5KM WAS FIRST .... SO I DECIDED TO ADD AND EVENT AND I WAS GOING TO DO THE TWO... BUT I ONLY WOULD HAVE NO REST. SO I CHOOSE THE STEEPLE FOR THE HECK OF IT.
